If i buy OpO from India and go to Nepal, will the phone get updates from one plus like OxgenOS , etc. ??

Man a deal with Micromax. Cyanogenmod and oneplus one are special because of their exclusivity.. I have recently bought oneplus one but now i am confused whether it was a wise decision coz now due of cyanogenmod their is no exclusiveness other than having a phone that no one around have even heard of and being compared to a micromax phone. A horrific let down.

There is not bigger difference between the Indian rom or any other country rom. It is similar to windows OS Indian language pack and international language. So you make suggest it what will be. The only matters is the drivers part of the android, so if cyanogen provide its latest rom to other country, then it also be easy to install on Indian one plus one phones.

What Cyanogen is doing is WRONG. Let them do ROMS for any device but this kind of deal with Micromax is upsetting.

Isn't most part of CM still GPL? In theory one plus can simply take the whole code base.. Make a script to rename everything as 'oneOS' or something and keep syncing against the upstream CM repo.. Add their own drivers and they are good to go..

It would havr been better if one plus had made cyanogen sign a global excusivity deal.. Would have been fun..
But if India is getting the same unlocked devices as the world it should be a piece of cake to flash the global CM rom.. Though no fun for the non technical people..
