Got my Lumia device a month ago and i am liking it so far, because there are tons of features to discover. I know the 3 big mobile OS companies have some unsavory business practices, but I am so afraid of how creepy Google is in using your personal data.

pinkfloyd5709, 03 Dec 2014Had a windows phone, really didn't like it for what I like ... moreYes WP used to be worst a year ago but now its not I've used Android and windows for the past 2 years but windows have changed quite a lot now its almost better than iOS and WP I own a Note 2 and Lumia 630 even thought 630 is entry level but it performs better and so much fun to use also stability wise and speed of use is much higher than Note 2....

But one thing is important to know that using WP is not easy to be learned in a day or two..it at least need a month to explore it full. I'm using WP 8.1 since 3 months and after every few days I invent something new in it

AnonD-122899, 03 Dec 2014Agree. IDC has been predicting Windows Phone and all its pr... morePeople really only use a few apps. There is also an internet browser if you need to access anything. Windows Phone is here to stay since it will be one OS (Windows 10) to rule them all. Developer makes one app and it will run on all Windows devices. Doesn't matter if you have phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, etc...Hopefully Windows 10 will be free so all Windows 7 can move to it.

Had a windows phone, really didn't like it for what I like to do. It seemed like I needed 3 apps to run any social media.Im sticking with android until proven otherwise. I'm open minded. If windows can get a real app store I may go back. Good luck with any phone you buy.

Till date, WP is still having miserable market shares. Everywhere I go are still not having apps for WP at all. 2018? That's a long 4 yrs time. WP may be just like another KIN's fate by then.

Okay IDC. you are telling that WP stays till 2018? hmmm great study.

May be WP rise by 2018 or it may perish just like symbian.

Or we could see a new leader in mobile OS other than Android and iOS.

Besides, what new OS has the capability to take over what android is giving? I dont see any. Hardly i see Android and iOS losing any market share.

iPhones are overpriced and iOS has been boring/static UI for years. Android is buggy and has no UI or consistent UI. Every OEM seems to have their own UI skin, which is a no-no for enterprise. Windows Phone just needs more features from Windows 10. It's already secure, fast, and stable OS. Unifying all the devices (mobile phones, tablets, desktop PCs, Xbox) under one OS and one app store is big step forward for Windows.

Actually, WP might be able to do that. The idea of 1 OS for all screen size / all devices is basically very helpful. We need to see the implementation and the support.

Another 2 cents, unfortunately the UI is a bit boring.

by 2018 we will see another statistic saying wp share will be 5% by 2022
before launching of wp 8.1 everyone saying that wait for wp8.1 and now everyone saying wait for wp10 what about in 2018 are you people repeat the same by saying wait for wp14 :)

All the corporate companies will start giving windows tablets for its employees. In many cases, it will replace laptops at the enterprise level considering the exponential growth hardware technology is having. There is huge scope for windows tablets. Windows smartphones will continue to struggle thanks to Chinese companies for their high spec affordable price Android smartphones.

there was a similar forecast in the past like this, saying the wp will increase in share and will take the lead.... but then, didnt happen.
