No taste, No character in micromax phones. Third grade products.sad to know cynogenmod which they claim as open source got sold to micromax. cynogen should claim as apple rather than open source. This one of the worse agreement I have seen. Keep the Business respectfull.

The phone will be a monster? Lol. Micromax, a shitty company that just rebrands Chinese phones will fail again. Micromax should opt for Qualcomm chips for their flagships. MediaTek is simply mediocre for flagships. Oh wait, the company can't even design their own products, let alone manufacture them. I've been using Micromax Canvas HD since 1.6 years, the battery got swollen after my usage of 1 year and the earpiece stopped working in the same time but I experinced good service from Micromax however the build quality is downright crap so it makes click click noise on the top portion. One good thing is that the phone doesn't heat up and it's running stock Android so there's little to no lags. Micromax simply doesn't have what it takes to be the champ.

LOL ppl in here talking national pride??! The whole phone is made in china and just plastered with a logo of an Indian company. The entire industrial design is also done by the Chinese on a contract. It's a turn key product that MicrotrashMax pays for in bulk. Anyone of you can start a similar business if you have the capital to start the venture.

Cyanogen is for power users, but there is no common sense in manufacturers and OnePlus one was another fashionphone with non-removable battery and no sd card.
Just like Meizu and Ubuntu (And Ubuntu is for power users, too).

Please don't encourage Micromax in our beloved India, cheap Chinese mobiles just re-branded with Micromax logo. All phones looks same (I can say ditto) as BLU, just name changed to Micromax.

But, if any Indian company is ready to manufacture devices on it's own, I will definitely support.

                        I love my India.

Or have you co... moreErr national pride doesn't come into question here anyway because all they do is get chinese oems to rebrand the chinese phones + they give very bad service (two and half month for a screen replacement? Seriously??)

Normally in w/e biz you're into you would first make sure that your core/main brand are truly up there in terms of recognition (doesn't have to be industry leading, just categorically like best valued or regional presence etc), before you pull a sub brand stunt. In this sense I feel that Micromax geared up a step too quick. I'm not seeing the necessity for a sub brand when you can just add the needed device models to fit that other biz model under an already established brand.

To try and mimic Oppo at how they're handling 1+ is discounting the fact that Oppo are locally a lot more stronger on their home turf. 1+ starts out as a market experiment for them going out of China and it doesn't look like it's panning out the way it's supposed to traction wise.

Lets wait for the launch first, and yes micromax will surely be a pride because they were the first ones to teach samsung and other stupid big brands about the craps which they were selling for such an exorbitant price. Galaxy grand cane in response to canvas series only.
