So, BlackBerry is seeking to mitigate its losses by changing direction and dominating a niche market... Well, good for them! As far as I can tell, it's working. There's no way they can compete with Apple, Samsung, LG, etc. directly under current conditions. I hope they don't bork this. Because if they do, they won't have a second chance.

jc, 18 Dec 2014the specs on the iphone 6 are worse than the bb classicWhat? iPhone 6 with the most powerful chipset you can get in many ways, how is that worse than this? I thinkyou have no idea what performance is about, youre just a kid who think more GHz is always better, you never even heard about IPC, which is what really counts, and which even iPhone 5s has more of than Snapdragon 805.

Noone has to like Apple but thers no denying that Apple A7 and A8 are state of the art and is what the rest of the industry is trying to catch up to, without success so far. Apple A8 is the one to beat, like it or not.

A bit pricy for the specs though. 350$ would be the perfect price.. Hopefully they would think of cutting prices including the more over-priced bb passport..

LEO-H, 17 Dec 20142012 Really? Come on I guess iPhone 6 isnt any better becau... moreI'd love it if the Classic performed half as well as the iPhone 6.

The BB OS is a lot more efficient than Android, so a straight-up comparison of specs won't determine performance.

Bottom line: you can run 90% of Android apps without any issues.
