Is this a gsm+gsm or cdma+gsm dual sim phone? Why haven't Samsung advertised this on their website (at least Indian)? When is this launched in India and at what approximated price range (INR)?

samsung, please make sms memory a little larger at least 500 messages, i have the samsung d980 duos and it can only store up to 200 messages. so i end up deleting and deleting and deleting and deleting and deleting messages. :)

Chinese dual sim phone has everything just PKR 3500 to 4000 accept few things such as,

                    1. both Sim active at a time but when one busy another sim going to be off for caller
                    2. low internal memory
                    3. Low phone book memory and SMS memory
                    4. battery issue
                    5. GPRS issue and no EDGE
                    5. Not Java support
                    6. not durable

but SAMSUNG has no above issues accept price and has everything you need.

[deleted post]Well said. Chinese dual SIM mobiles don't last, they are not worth fixing, one can't find replacement parts or accessories. They're cheaply made and disposable, hence no market resale value.

@Tauqeer: Thats not their goal with this phone. This is a budget dual-sim phone, just made for calling and texting, thats it.

come on samsung, we want smaller dual sim handset's not larger. The chinese alternatives can be tiny. Love the dual sim function on my c5212 but looks like something from the late 90's.

There's one thing to reconsider before any of you buy this kind of phone (dual-SIM phone): Battery life--no it's not the same with 3G phones cause 3G phones still using one sim card and they could alternately change frequency between 3G and normal GSM signal, basically using 2 SIM cards means using 2 phones,so if a phone is about to support 2 SIM cards simultaneously with one Battery, how strong is the battery,LI-ion 2500 or a car battery?
