20 December, 2014
The gist of it is Cyanogen threw OnePlus under the bus by signing an exclusivity deal with Micromax.

This was a poor business decision, it will cost them a lot more to go to court then the termination fees to end the contract. I am unsure what will come of one plus one but with a new handset on the horozion one can assume that there own ROM or perhaps color OS will be there next move if any at all, I know some people who have one and there quite happy on the release they have now. Updates are always nice but if your only adding features and not fixing existing problems then updates are pointless. IMO lollipop is not ready for mainstream market and perhaps larger manufacturers should wait, that is why you see a lot of the features non existent in Samsung's reiteration. ART unstable on most Google store apps..to many to go on about

Be honest, I don't like the way OnePlus doing the business with the silly 'invite' system and never buying anything from this guy with that stupid marketing games. But a contract is a contract, if Cyanogen did signed exclusive international right, it shouldn't sign another exclusive right with the other firm. That's not a way of doing business Cyanogen if u want last long. Just wondering, why don't those new comers using the stocked android instead, I love stocked android, believe many people do.

[deleted post]"Chinese products" Oppo, One plus one, Xiaomi mi, Meizu Mx4 (Chinese products) are one of the best built smartphone with magnesium and metal frame Unlike US products like apple that have only cheap aluminium body that bend.... US and most western products are the worst on the market... Most western products choose marketing over quality.

[deleted post]Are you kidding me. have you ever held a micromax phone. They are literary sh*t. Poor H/W and built with slow OS. My brother owns a oneplus and it is a great phone with extremely good H/W, S/W and built quality. Please don't insult a company for no reason.

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2014If the deal was non-exclusive for Micromax to use cyanogenm... moreNot everyone, greedy guys like Cyanogen wouldn't have gotten nearly as much money from Micromax as they did with an exclusive deal.

The saddest part is that he didn't "man up" and just negotiated (pay) OnePlus to remove India from their non-exclusive contract.

It's this lack of business "balls" and ethic that spells disaster for Cyanogen Inc (and let's just hope the community developers of Cyanogenmod don't get fed-up and leave!).

Cyanogen Inc appear to be the 3rd greediest company after Apple and Samsung. Cyanogen I hope your sh**** company will fail. I think any serious phone manufacturer won't make a contract after this case. Cyanogen you s**k.

Kibaikasu, 20 Dec 2014If One Plus has written proof of the non-exclusive contract... moreI was replying to a comment about having Cyanogen banned in India. And that cyanogen and micromax must be fined..

The Cyanogen and OnePlus contract says that any legal issues are to be resolved in court of Calfornia.. So as I said the deal doesn't have a legal standing in India (it is also an observation made by the Indian High Court judge in the case)
Obviously OnePlus can take legal action in California..

Now CYANOGEN got bad reputation in educated circle and among sensible buyers. One plus one earned their reputation by doing something new in market but CYANOGEN lost reputation by doing forgery business in market and minds of customers. One plus one will reach at top position because his phone is really smart . Android 5.0.1 lollipop is best in all aspects. One plus one should choose pure Android version.

I expect Cyanogen will probably go and settle with One Plus in the near future to avoid any court hang-ups.
