FHD is perfect for this phone. What people want is a longer battery life. If HTC can go for 3000mAh or above, then that would be great.

but sadly the leaked specs state that it will be of the FullHD instead of the QHD variety found in some current flagships

      ------

Stop trying to push for QHD in a 5" screen, it is unnecessary when 1080p is more than enough. QHD brings a marginal increase in pixel density for less battery life and lower performance.

I hope either the specs are wrong or they are going to make a second model with a 5.5" screen. I really want a large screen phone but the premium feel and brand new specs of the m9 (I refuse to call it Hima, cause that's a stupid name)

Everything's good except maybe the size of the phone (too big) and the size of the battery (3000+ mAH would be nice). Anyway, hope they made improvements to the screen (power efficiency, contrast, viewing angles, color, etc.).

Guy Hero, 23 Dec 2014Exactly and if these rumors are true then HTC realize that ... moreAlso hope this saves them money in some way

my objection among one is this Hima too tall and thin.
                unbalance proportion of 144 X 69 mm!
would make this 5" phone tall and narrow!

HTC should've made 140 X 71, that's give WIDE angle just like Motorola Droid Maxx I own. Superb dimension for 5".

I can imagine that Hima would have the same shape like E8 which tall and thin like skinny supermodel...

,,Sadly only full hd'' on a 5 inch screen????? Please gsmarena don't encourage this insane marketing campaign of higher and higher ppi.

Ferdinand, 23 Dec 2014"a reasonably big 2,840mAh battery." That is big... moreFHD takes less power than QHD, so this battery should be more than just enough.

That is big for a 4.7inch screen. Sounds normal for 5inch. Small for anything above 5inch.

QHD dispay makes it perfect. If it is not coming with it, then it could be termed as a drawback

-luck (How good the particular peace of battery will be)
-Your usage (After 300+ cycles, the battery lasts obviously less. And with current batteries you may even have to recharge twice a day, so it may not even last a year).
