It must be noted that the curve is subtler, not more curved as the article sugests.

i think it could be much better thing for LG if they were launched this bit later at MWC with LG G4 and this one named as G4 Flex.....

AnonD-294887, 05 Jan 2015It's just a part of the ever present number race. I wonder ... moreI agree on everything except the thing about ram. Having more ram means you can have everything preloaded on ram, which means better experience (far snappier) and far better battery. No matter how much ram you have in phone it will never be enough. Ram and battery are the only two things where more=better. Everything else less so.

AnonD-349422, 07 Jan 2015Big fail. Everyone is bumping the resolution up to 2k and ... moreUnless you're using vr glasses and hence hold the phone way too close to your face you can't see the difference between 1080p and 1440p. There's literally none, so I don't see what you're nagging about.

Guess who?, 07 Jan 2015your comment is the big fail. 1080P is just enough. this wi... moreU r right. 2160p resolution is just a gimmick. it drains battery faster and slows down your device, just check the processing benchmarks of 1080p devices (with the same CPU and GPU) and compare it with devices with 2160p. the normal eye cannot resolve more than 400 PPi within the distance of 40 cm, and seriously who keeps their phone closer than 40 cm?
This phone is awesome, and the best thing about it is the self healing coating, i don't know why they don't put it on other devices like G3?

Big fail. Everyone is bumping the resolution up to 2k and this phone only gets 1080p? 2 Gb of ram? 4 is what is needed to take advantage of the 64bit processor. 32 Gb of storage should be the minimum. Mid range phone with a 64bit processor.

AnonD-294887, 05 Jan 2015It's just a part of the ever present number race. I wonder ... moreYes and no. The Sony 20mp without a doubt does not deliver what you think it would. Largely due to the reasons you said. Also because Sony has not always been the best at fine tuning their mobile cameras...Oddly....
Both sides of that backed up by how long it has taken "up to the Z3" to really see some better work come out of the sensor...

Now the soon to be released or recently released "whichever" Panasonic camera with 20MP 1inch sensor is entirely different story. It's a mammoth to phone sensors. Even much larger than the 40MP PurView sensors. And has 2.6um size pixels.

As for displays....Yeah it does use more GPU power somewhat and 1080p works great.
However as they advance they still end up consuming less power than older models and stronger/newer gpu's become more power efficient.
So both of those kind of cancel out your claim.
Plus the Note 4's 5.7inch QHD Amoled uses up to 40% less power than most 5 inch 1080p LCD's. Mostly due to Amoled tech and Samsung refinements....but you get the idea.

And lets not try and do the same thing with ram that everyone else does with computers and all the rest of the related tech.
People tried saying 8 or 12mp was way more than would ever be needed.
1GHz is more than you will ever need.
256mb ram is more than you will ever need.
Nobody needs more than 16gb memory.
2GB data cap is plenty for anyone. You're crazy if you can use more than that.

Lets not dampen technology advancement because you personally don't feel or realize that you could utilize or need more.
If you are someone that does not buy a phone every other day and takes care of and keeps your device for a couple years would you still only buy a device with 1GB of ram now if you could Just easily get one with 3Gb? The only difference being "I don't need the extra ram".
Especially planning for future proofing and just if you ever decide to start heavily using a device????

People want to talk about oh blah blah optimizations yada.....Why do you think even WP is moving up with equipment and iphone still holds the world title of most crashes?
