AnonD-104517, 07 Jan 2015last year galaxy S4 was launched with price tag of 40k n my... moreBut I bought grand 2 for say 18000 nd sold it for 15k in olx after using for 6 months .There are crazy Indian buyers who buy these smartphones with gazillion features. My friend bought lumia 820 1 year back for 20000 rs sold it for 7000rs.This tells the resale value Samsung commands for other brands. Also see olx quikr ad any Samsung phones are priced higher than other brands similar products. That is Samsung for you. Also holding samsung gives you a elegant look similar to holding iphones. There is a reason why Samsung commands value. Also if you are in India you will see more of Samsung smartphones compare to any brand. That is power of Samsung.

By offering way too many variants and options, Samsung is shooting itself in the foot. They may think flooding the market is the solution to high revenues, but I think it is working against them. A few select products covering low end to high end with choice screen and processor sizes should enable the buyers to better focus on models and maybe sky rocket sales.

Samsung's A and E series are out to counter Xiaomi...??

Samsung drunk on something? or was it GSMArena which stated this?

The A3 (Rs. 20,000), with a price tag of more than 3 times that of Redmi 1S (Rs. 6000) does not even have proper specifications to match it, leave alone the price demerit.

The battery is smaller, the display has lesser pixels. Only the internal memory is better...

Am I a fool to pay more than 3 times the price?

Launched loudly but in stores, these phones are likely to stay silently because the pricing is underwhelming and overpriced at best.
