This is very far from truth :D if S5 would have sold 40 million, samsung wouldnt have had very bad last year.

S3 sold a lot. Note 2 sold well too.

iPhone 5 have sold over 100 million and so is 5S and 4S and...
So which galaxy have sold near 100 million? or note, or combined :D
Last time i checked best selling galaxy S4 got about 40 million sales which are great result for android company, but not even half what iPhone sells.

android market share is huge due to milions ... moreReally? Then explain just how galaxy and note alone have come close to or surpassed iPhone sales in the past couple years.
That's not including any other Samsung higher end device, any other flagship from any company.
Then not including any mid range device from Samsung or HTC or lg.
Not including all the high tech low cost devices from any company.
Then there is all this "cheap"devices" you were whining about.
And those are just the facts. Obviously as iPhone is the one and only phone line sold by Apple and is the only choice of phone for ios phone it will sell more numbers compared to a single android device that has to face the competition of every other Android out there and the iPhone.

I am an avid droid user, however have an iphone for work. I have used both OS's for many years and can honestly say IMO droid is for me. I can see the appeal of iOS to allot of users but i am a geek so like to customise allot.
I find it odd that the only country listed with higher iOS ratio to droid is Japan.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2015Ios has always had way more performance issues than people ... moreany smartphone, any OS whether android ios or windows mobile has its own set of bugs. its just that its easier to fix / isolate in IOS since they only release few units per year compared to others.

android market share is huge due to milions and milions of cheap crap phones you cannot compare iphone to sub 100$ android phone market shar, compare it to other phones of similar price in which iphone outperforms all the brands combined. so please and the other friends also stop talking about android market share as a success factor it is only because poor people is more then rich people so cheap phones are more than expensive phones.

Lollipop caused more performance problem instead of improving check the internet the memory leak problem is widespread now. it is an impossible dream that a day come when android can perform close to ios or even windows phone. packing multi giga hertz and bytes will not solve the problem the core in the os is buggy and cannot be solved unless it is totally re-engineered form scratch.
