IOS 7 and especially 8 have been horrible. You and many many many people were trying to downgrade.
That's exactly why they removed the option.
They would rather release multiple crap updates every day and force everyone on the latest version so they can have the number claims then let you be happy.

talk about fragmentation .. even with just 1 manufacturer (that is also so tight on their upgrades for old devices) .. they are still having this amount of fragmentation...no wonder its so much more with Android give the sheer amount of different manufacturers and the number of device segments they each make.

iPhone 6 meets the desire for large handset people and small handset people.
Same top of the line 64bit cpu /gpu. Android have to cramp more then 25% more battery just to keep up with it.. thus you see their android phones are bulky and thick.
Nexus / Note4 all those giants cannot meet any small handset people's needs. And current S5 is not even talked about because it worse off.
In the end, iPhone suited more people, so its sales are off the charts. Android fanboys can only comfort themselves and believe its just luck, and the sales of Apple will die off next year. Same as before they predict Apple die next year.. it didn't happened.. Neither is the lag removed in Lolipop as promised since jellybean (60fps project butter) haha.

To be honest apple is great company but the software absolutely rubbish it lacks fluidity sometimes on the iphone 6 and others it's very un polished such as when have the moving wallpaper the message I con the badge on overlaps the the status bar it's very annoying and even the lag the multitasking it's rubbish slow. But Apple makes money selling hardware not software. They make the one of the best phones and have crap software but people will buy its apple. Next hopping to see ios9 be a whole new area for Apple to focus on instead for the specs and the hardware just to make the software better as they were in ios1-6 previous.. versions

Even iPhone 6+ being 'only' 5.5 inches VS iPhone 6 being just 4.7 inches, Apple is selling 85% VS 15% (and they knew that right before they realized them, that's why they stocked their in inventory with 9/10 mobiles being iP6)

Too bad that the nexus's availability is so damn limited and is like the holy grail. Sought after by a lot, obtained by few.
Wil honestly say though I'm done with android, wil try an iPhone next and despite how everybody bashes Apple, I don't think the experience will be unpleasant.

68% on ios 8 means 68% of apple products from i4s to i6.
This means the 3G, 3Gs and i4 represents less than 32%.

Android always use tons of phones vs one iPhone.
And so does various Android customised OS across all features vs one iOS.
So where is the fairness in that? No point saying fair or not fair comparison. Its only how you want to place the fact in your favour, thats what we all are trying to do.
In fact Android use the most unfair comparison of all.
1. Talk about lag, they immediately switch to Nexus
2. Talk about features, they immediately switch to Samsung
3. Talk about cheapness, switch to Xiaomi.
Never did they once use 1 android phone to defeat iPhone. Because they simply can't.
