Job, 31 Aug 2009USA can never have war with China....It has invested in Chi... moredamn good answer, plus china is one of the worlds biggest economies, with the worlds largest air force; so unless we're assuming America is either a. stupid enough to invade or b. overly confident to ignore both the facts above, then you can guarantee that it'll be the USA losing. majorly.

Well if Dell want to launch a new device for selling in the world´s largest dictatorship they are very welcome. When the US eventually goes to war with China in the next 20-30 years this decision might be regarded as surprising. Mind you many traded with Germany in the early 1930s also.

People... First, try to appreciate the bold approach dell's made during the time of recession when no one's got money to but an iphone..
1. Iphone is manufactured in china too
2. Samsung, LG and Nokia have a similar design..
3. Dell is a company whom you can rely on..
4. If Dell has launched this, surely there is something different.
5. If you dont like it, dont buy it... atleast stop critising the efforts of a company like Dell... They wont invest unless they feel its important.... Its not a joke to invest in something and getting no benefit out of it...

Good, stay away from Apple. All we need now and for the next 5 years at least for the phone are : Able to call out, and able to received call, and not to forget sending/ receiving text message. Those are important. Others like Wifi may or may not necessary have and even 3G compatibility. Imagine the WIFI speed in other country, is it reliable, is it fast enough, in the end 3G is just becoming a LABEL, and not used at all. The newtork is not supporting and the bandwith is not fast enough. How can you browse internet in a small screen ?. Get a Laptop if you browse. The NAME "Smart phone" is for Phone majority and put extra fuctions #2. and not the other way around. GOOD JOB DELL.

This looks a complete copy of HTC MAGIC and APPLE iPHONE. They have probably modified teh back cover, else it is complete xerox and no new fun.

dont know what the big deal about the iphone...my gf is on her 3rd 3g in a yea...itz jus to buggy. people dont need to base their phones and design off the iphone. only flashy people who have to make a point want that peice of junk with apple... i have a g1 one and it fits me perfect. its kinda like why men need to get a small sports car cuz theyre lacking something else. dell... do better with the specs and just do your own thing...stay far away from apple as possibleI

i would love to suggest and compared the Dell Mini 3i to Acer brand of smartphone... first of all acer didnt breaktru the market i guess they are having a lot of losses lately... but i hope dell and philips will penetrate the market....

first this is not a carbon copy of the iphone its just a phone and a do all you can phone... if your looking a 180us touch screen and a reliable brand DELL is the One... not to mention no contract with a 180us price tag

lol... dell doesn't make these phones.. CECT does! look at philips phones, they the same thing. all recent philips phones are dual sim with touch screen with shortcuts on the botom of the screen. almost all china phones are like that (even clones like iphone or n95).
dell and philips just made sure that the quality of the product is ok, and branded the phone with DELL and Philips logos.

This phone is made for the China phone market, for people who just need a phone!
Not meant for the world where people to pay LOTS of money for an expensive phone!
It's good for the intended market! No more, no less!
