THEY KEEP ON MAKING SMARTPHONES BIGGER AND THINNER WHICH WILL MAKE IT EASILY TO BREAK.
P.S. If Xiaomi thinks that slimness is it's key selling point then it's wrong, it's Xiaomi's decline as the phone may experience low camera results and overheating problems. Apart from this what happens if they make a really slim mobile and it just falls between spaces where hands cant reach?

Galaxy note 4 with its 3200 mAh and it has one of the best battery life with 87h rating endurance, and it powers a 1440 x 2560 screen and a beefy CPU (Snapdragon 805) and its removable too.
                Meizu MX4 3000 mAh: 89h rating endurance (web: 14:06h vid 9:31h)
"3000 is still not enough"? You don't know what your talking about mate.

If Xiaomi manage to squeeze a 3000 mAh in that 5.1mm phone it would have at least a 80h rating endurance.

Ascend mate doesn't have a removable battery.
See, the choice is very limited and getting more and more limited. Even Samsung started to "forget" removble batteries and sd cards. There are practically no phones for people who want a really good phone, not a fashionphone

kiFU, 10 Jan 2015Dude. If you like thin phones you can praise them all you w... moreNo. You don't get it. You have a lot of phones to choose from. Some people in the comment section say: "phone companies lost the plot" and "thin will make battery and camera worst."
Look for example at Oppo, they were the first attacked by users/trolls calling the R5 a fail and that they wanted thicker phones with good battery, camera.
But those people fail to realize that Oppo made two models, The R5 which is 3.8mm thin for people who want thin phones but it has weaker battery life. and the other one is N3 which has excellent camera and 3000 mAh battery but its 9.9mm thick.

why complain when they gave you two options and one of the options is for you liking? IF people buy N3 more than the R5 Oppo would know that users don't mind 9mm thick phone with good battery and continue producing them with better battery. But if people buy more thin R5 then Oppo and others will continue to produce thin phone. Simple as that.

It seems that every news about Thin phones you have people trolling and repeating the same phrase! We get it!
and how they want a company to make thicker phone with better battery life and better camera. Well for your info Asus just unveiled 2 thick 9mm phones for your liking with great camera and battery. And Huawei Ascend Mate7 has a 4100 mAh and great camera.

Normal kind of phone design is good. We don't want thin phone but quality phone. Xiaomi is famous for quality phone in low prices and teaching the world buying phone is not like buying clothing with different prices in different quality. But phone has same or better quality like apple but very low price. For example both of them uses same parts such as gorilla glass 3, ips lcd screen , qualcomm chips , camera lenses , even better specs of Xiaomi. We actually know that actual cost of them are $225 but xiaomi is soo cheap because low profit margin, free android os , direct sale through Internet saves upto 30% money going retail chains, no advertising cost , income are generated by indirect way like google corporation etc. So xiaomi should focus on quality and has greater future than apple and Samsung.

Why not double or triple the battery size instead of making it so thin. A 8 or 9 mm phone itself is very thin. I would prefer battery life over thinness any-day

Xiaomi doesn't need to follow suit with the rest of the world. Slim phone comes with lot of implications like weak camera, low battery backup, little to no heat management and even non-removable battery. And on top of that if they add 5.5 Inch 1440p screen, then only god can save Mi5.

A 7.5-8mm phone(which is still slim enough) with 3500mAh battery will sell better than 5.1mm with 2500mAh or even 3000mAh battery.

Thinner phone means lesser space. if they were able to squeeze everything with good battery time(hrs, standby) then its good and people will buy that. If battery sucks, good luck to that one. We will know in 5 days from now.

And other people who are talking about phone being little more thick with extra juice in it, they have a opinion. If that opinion have majority, these companies will change there phones. But if these people just don't say anything, its like not voting for what you believe in.

These days majority people are happy with 7-8mm thick mobile phone. Why did Xiaomi spend effort to make it so thin. The immediate implication of a thin phone is much smaller battery, and low quality camera module.

Many iPhone 6 users are not happy with iPhone 6 thin body
design. They would prefer iPhone 6 is designed slightly
thicker to accommodate a bigger battery. That way there
would be no stick out camera and longer battery life.

These apple customers are complaining, but they still buy
iPhone and use it, similar to the situation when iPhone 5 had antenna problem. Apple and only Apple can make some mistake without impacting too much business.

Xiaomi does not have the hard-core fan as Apples.
Most of the consumers won't buy a such thin phone.
This phone will be end up like Amazon fire phone or
HTC One(M8). Seem like Xiaomi now have too much confidence as HTC had before. I am sure this phone will be end up like
                                        HTC One.
