Anonymous, 10 Jan 2015I find that most firmware update is making the phone perfor... moreMy experience has always been the polar opposite of that, but then again I don't upgrade stock ROMs, I always go for 3rd-party ROMs closer to AOSP and voided of all bloat (for instance Cyanogenmod).

Today I still keep a fully functional 2011 Xperia Arc S that is running KitKat (4.4.4 via LegacyXperia) better than it ever ran the stock Ginger Bread (2.3).

I find that most firmware update is making the phone performance worse. Everytime I experience the battery last shorter, UI is slower and new bloatware installed.

New firmware = pushing you to buy new phone, that's what I think.

Android KitKat 4.4.4. is stable you can't say this yet for Android 5.0 Lollipop. I want 4.4.4. for my LG L90.
