Why arguing about OS preference?!? That way us, using WP becaming like those Sammy funboys and ios sheeps. I had lots of Android devices, rooted most of them, flashing custom roms on them just to make them usable. And I'm not talking about low end devices (LG Optimus 4x was the latest one). Started using WP more than a year and a half now and I am more then satisfied and wouldn't ever go back to Android! That's only thing that metters for me. Who likes it, go ahead and enjoy it, I'm done with it.

you haven't really looked at a Windows Phone device have you... Live Tiles are very animated and useful.
It'll be interesting to see what Windows 10 and for phone will bring.
With the Denim update the higher end WP devices will have 4k 60fps recording with 5.1 audio.
I find a number of people here tend to go with the flow and not find out first hand what devices offer or OS's. I suggest you try them all before dissing them. :)

Widgets...? Are there. But be specific.
Etc. Be specific.
Android's smoothness is experienced in top phones. I share no grudge against s5s or note 4s or z series from Sony. But wp are smooth from basic 520 till 1520. One OS... Many HW... One performance... Lag free performance and respect for whatever money you pay!

Desktop Win may be, but Win mobile is definitely not more advanced...
For ex, wifi tethering, sensor drivers, widgets, SD max support, 4k recording, etc.
Dont know if win caught up on those features, havent looked in a while

I know it caught up on homescreen background photo at least though

Lumia 520 was top for so long, show you price / hardware still belongs to Windows.

Admit it, Android is the bottom of the barrel for OSs.

Simpler OS, better performance on lower specs
More advanced OS, asks for more advanced specs
Some dont need all the features, so use IOS
Some dont need the eyecandy looks, so use WinOS
Android gives overall best on cost of higher specs
Simple as that...
