If you use the phone extensively, be it for internet (wi-fi hotspot), photos or making calls when you're on the go or your job makes having a dangling external battery pack impracticable, being able to swap in a fully charged battery is very important.
Anyone who thinks this won't have a negative impact on sales is an in-denial fanboy. To what extent it will impact sales is anyone's guess as nobody's done consumer surveys about the importance of a removable battery in making their mobile phone purchase decision.
For me, it's a deal-breaker.

Back to Samsung from Sony z2, if s6 has xenon flash and more than 20mp camera.. Waterproof is the reason I took z1 then z2.. If I get all this in Samsung then aim back

Looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S6. I have the S4 and I love it. However it's time for a new phone. Hope it comes out sonner then later.

samsung doesn't have engineering capability to make metal or glass back with removable battery. Only company to do that was pantech back in the days

My Androids still hold charges, HTC DHD,OneXL, my Nexus 4 etc.. Min spec is full deep discharge over 750 times, so yeah fully drained an recharged twice a day will lead to a small percentage drop after a year of heavy abuse.
Or, 1200 plus charges if not fully drained, more if topped up regularity.
Why wear out covers, contacts, trying to remember if you charged your spares...carry a power back up or a cord an charger if you're not too overloaded.
Power back up can charge your tablet when your lost an drop your spare battery in raging river an need them extra mah. Much ado over nought.
Add a solar panel to the wood shed so when you're chopping wood you won't run out.
Do you get it metro boys?
Unless you're surfing an watching movies while tendin to the flock in the back forty all day, either not doing your job or just flat out, full of it you can't find power to top off with.

Plastic is the reason why I came back to Samsung. Understood how awful aluminium/metal could be with M7. So if this is really Samsung's way of thinking to get more buyers then they can't be more wrong.

If this turns out to the true, then Samsung Mobile might as well file for bankruptcy. Firstly a non-removable battery is a deal breaker, secondly glass back? Really! How stupid! If this is how they have decided to differentiate, they might as well be differentiating themselves out of existence.

When my battery ends I simply replace the freshly charged battery with the one in the phone. Instant 100%. And don't tell me that shutting down the phone for 30 seconds to replace the battery is a problem. Charging it for like 7 hours like we live in some tech dark ages is.
No Sammy for me anymore, I'm done.

Hmmm the iphone 4 had a glass back and we saw how that turned out. Shattered the rumour could be perhaps a very good choice of words :)

Really wish they wouldn't get rid of the removable battery. I care more about usability than whether the cover looks "premium."

I'm pleased the battery is non removable. I never buy extra batteries and by the time the battery is losing charge I've already moved on to a better phone.
