If u look closely at the display the bezels on the side r now much slimmer compared to the M8, almost G3 size which makes me think it will sport a 5.2 inch screen or maybe even bigger. The bottom bezel also looks like it has shrunk a couple of mm.

The front camera module looks bigger than the M8 .

If it still has a 1080p display that will be a good thing in my book because anything north of 400ppi is tack sharp. Sure 500+ ppi gives you bragging rights but it also stresses the GPU more & causes higher battery drain.
I hope that HTC has worked at improving the image quality:white balance, contrast, black levels, sunlight performance, color accuracy etc of the display instead of jumping on to the 2K wagon.

REALLY looking forward to this phone.

When companies like Oppo, Xiaomi, are making innovative phones, I don't understand why a company like HTC is unable to innovate things.

Almost, same design like M8, gosh! I am pretty sure by the end of 2015, we would be seeing losses similar to what Samsung is posting.

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2015Is that not the whole point of series'? Surely if they want... moreWell, they were calling it something else (Hima).

Sad to see the phone is still remarkably tall for the screen size. What a waste.

Everyone that complains about the same design. We are in the "refinement" phase of gadgets and it's great. Pleas be happy that you won't have to change your phone every 12 months. Oh and regarding the HTC m9. Last year's M8 was hands down the best phone I've hold in my hand up to date, except the camera. I think that only the camera update and the Snapdragon 810 can justify the price because this phone is going to be a no compromise flagship.

              Awesome!

Though I would prefer they copied M7, it looked even nicer.
But with the new camera (the only area where M8 was lacking), this will be by far the best phone of 2015 anyway.

For those planning to buy HTC, read my comment first before you decide.I am using HTC One for not even one year and my experience with it made me decide not to ever use HTC anymore. First the battery life was really poor..in the beginning it can last slightly more than 24 hours, not even after one year now it cannot even last a mere 12 hours, what a setback. It didn't even have a backup power in case of emergency. If the battery went flat, you will need to recharge for quite sometimes before it can be turned on again. Second, the camera was really poor in performance and the picture quality was bad..despite a good review in GSM. HTC can scrap their ultrapixel technology in the future if they want to survive. Third there's no video player that come standard in the software, you have to download video player in the apps which makes playing videos becoming less of quality. Lastly its not a long lasting or durable phone despite the high price and high end product. You can expect a lifespan of around one year and thereafter it can be discarded for it will be really annoying to use it anymore than a year..

Does not seem to be legit. Cannot keep everything same except Back Camera/Processor. This is 100% fake.
