I'm talking abt the review that with much use the darn smart watch only can last 3 to 4hrs.

AnonD-57516, 23 Jan 2015Is very true. Since 2002 I had an ipod and it lasted barely... moreI don't know what are you talking about.. but the nano I bought gives more than 20hrs of service on a charge.,. and I have an ipad also, I hardly charge it in a week... I use it 1-2hrs daily... and I have an macbook air,, it has far better battery life than my previous dell laptop.. dell used to give 3-4hrs,,, but air provides around 7-8hrs.... and the most surprising thing is, standby time of 3days is better than any other smart watch right now..

It feels like an incomplete product, really.
Particularly coming from Apple - it seems unexpected.

Why come out with a mode showing the time and all animations on if it is only going to last 4 hours? And then admit not many people are going to use it?
It sounds like if that will be used to show it off despite it being impractical.

applefan, 23 Jan 2015But that is not fair. You are comparing a high-quality bran... morethats fair man.. both of 'em are smartwatches so we can compare them. If we're comparing a smartwatch and a phone then thats not fair.
Main point: Samsung Gear 2 is a lot better than Apple Watch. And I even have Apple Watch's clockface in my Gear 2.. its called Apple Gear

try again, in about 2-3 years time, boys n girls, we may have the batteries and real low power socs that can give real world usable performance, they cannot blame the size of the display this time round...

[deleted post]Is very true. Since 2002 I had an ipod and it lasted barely 4hrs of music play. Then the Nano in 2006 supposedly shld last 9hrs but also lasted up to 5hrs at most. Next was the iphone 4 which lasted less than 7hrs of moderate use. I have given up on the lousy battery life of fruit devices. They won't last.
I'm happy with my Galaxy Note 4 which still has 20% batt from 12midnight to next day 8pm. That is simply superb.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2015Wehhhhh really? Are you sure with that statement or are you... moreSorry, but it is you that is BS'ing. I agree with the first post. (Apart from the 12 day thing, not tired having my watch sleeping for 12 days ..). But I easily get 4 days with moderate use, pedometer active, sleep active and "exercise mode" for a 15min run. My best is 5days whilst on holidays as I had minimal notifications. Gear 2 Neo + Galaxy S5

fail.
that is basicly unusable for an awful lot of folk, if it cannot manage 24 hours use between charges these days, its classed as a fail, it will be interesting to see whatbreal world figures folk realy get, 4 hours is a bit too lityle actual use time but thats the problem with trying to buid a "normal" sized wearable today, a generation before we have the batteries etc capable of delivering the required performance, i have yet to see one wearable that has decent use/standby figures they are all asking too much of whats available, wait 2byears and we can probably do it properly, but too many greedy folk willing to sell product that tbey know will disappoint pretty soon, unless they all going to give away loads and loads of freeby wireless charge pads to every buyer too scatter everywhere...
why does wearable only seem to mean wrist worn now?
