The Chinese device maker seems intent on taking the "world's slimmest handset" crown for itself.

Actually the Ip6- that are slightly under 7mm feels slippery like a piece of soap due to the minimal finger contact surface with the rounded sides, and no 'edges' to grab hold on. A case helps a LOT in a secure grip.

In completely unrelated news, I'm predicting Micromax will also be launching a 4.7mm thin 4.7" phone soon.

Can you stop posting announcement teasers as if they were actually news? Save it for the annoucement itself, there's no point knowing about a phone without its specs, price and release date.

These greatest and cheapest smartphones out of China means jack crap unless you can buy it anywhere else outside of Red China. Why the big fuss on a respected site like gsmarena if 80% of countries wont have a easy way of actually buying these great spec'ed and great priced phones?

Call me when this phone is widely available. tnx.

4.7mm thick at the edges may be. I can see a curve at the phone's back like Moto phones. But if you can add a 2500mah+ battery then its fine. Not every one like to charge their phone twice daily, but everyone will be fine with a 6-7mm thickness phone with a better battery.
