However, I'm not 100% sure that the community or nokia will work on the flash 10 plug-in. One of the reasons is because adobe is going to release the version 10 flash for mobile phones, so I think that's why nokia didn't include the most recent flash plug-in for the n900

does supporting flash 9.5 mean that we can watch peer2peer live video streaming played on the browser page(of course after installing certain plugins)? i always watch live football matches this way on my pc but hope i can do that on my mobile as well!

Wow most of us have been waiting for this phone/MID for some time. And for people who say that s60 is dead, it pretty much will. Remember that s60 will turn into symbian^1 and so on when the symbian foundation gives the open source.

i've been using the sony ericsson k750 ever since it first came out. it's been a good five years already and back then it was one of the most advanced phones around with also the biggest price tag. the reason i'm looking for a new phone is cause the navigation controls are getting a bit cranky.
the list of things i think most people want from manufacturers these days is flexibility and functionality. personally one big thing i'm after is the internet browsing experience which includes ease of navigation, support for programs such as flash and browser interface etc. i like to be able to be connected not only by voice and SMS but also the full range of social networking and IM options that are available online without the limited portability of a laptop. Secondly application availability in the future to fully exploit the phone's hardware capabilities is a big requirement. thirdly reliability and stability. finally the overall 'smoothness' and 'flow' a phone gives the user, not so much to do with the phone's visual appeal but rather the experience when using the phone. in particular this is important for touch screen phones.
at first i looked at the iphone 3GS, partly due to all the hype that surrounds the series. i must admit that from what iphone has produced over the past few years they've really fine tuned the user interface experience... everything seems really 'smooth' be it the browsing experience online or the UI. the reliability record is also top notch. but a downside is that although apple has made gd progress with ironing out wrinkles in the iphone series they haven't really moved forward much in terms of developing new designs to suit the market needs. instead it seems their market share is secured only through a good advertising campaign. all in all the hardware specs are starting to lag behind and i think it's time to move on and release the limitations (for instance itunes, non removable battery?) and start thinking of how to better meet the customers needs.
another good option i looked at was the samsung omnia II i8000. apparently it's a big overhaul of the younger brother i900's small errors and disfunctionalities. it's also a smartphone with the WM 6.5 OS when released in september. the AMOlED sounds really nice indeed and coupled with the 3.7 inch touchscreen and extended battery life it does seem like a perfect phone. in my opinion samsung's direction is right, they know what their customer wants for example introducing widgets (apps), the Opera browser and Live Messenger with the phone. however although the hardware is capable, at the end of the day it's the using experience which counts. From going through a number of reviews it seems there're still a few little faults that creep out here and then. for example even with a better cpu it doesn't feel as smooth as the iphone 3GS and the flash support doesn't always seem to work while on the internet. and this problem crops up on youtube one of the most visited flash website at the moment, how can this be? so samsung is getting there but they have to deliver the results.
the nokia n900 isn't particularly appealing in terms of weight and size but looking further i guess these can be compensated by what it can do. and from initial video clips it seems it really proves what it is capable of and complements its hardware specs fully. it's not impossible to say that the trend in the future would be geared heavily towards such internet orientated phones. the reliability history of nokia doesn't really need much to be said and the 'smooth' user UI seems up to now amazing. nokia hasn't really been of interest in the last few years for me personally cause they always seem to fall behind in terms of specs and meeting the users needs (excluding n95). they did however have a role to play in the early smartphone trend, followed then by the touchscreens like iphone and samsung. sony ericsson similarly has faded into the background and is anticipating a come back with their Satio.
I'll be follwing how the n900 goes for a while since they've really come back, for me at least. hardware specs wise apple really have to work on a new product especially when one or two designs from other manufacturer's already support multi tasking. based only on specs many phones is superior to the iphone nowadays and the high price tag probably won't stand for much longer. but is it fair to say the price of the new phones coming out are one most important thing to consider? hopefully the n900 won't be too high. if at a lower price and better specs than the iphone then we can expect a great turn around.

For those of you who don't know, here are a few tidbits that make this phone awesome.
- You can load any variant of ARM linux, meaning you can load Ubuntu or Android if you want, there's are versions that run on the Nokia N810.
- The N900 will have an s60 emulator so it will be somewhat backwards compatible with s60 apps
- I saw this quite often asked, but yea, the N900 has an FM Receiver and Transmitter, so you can listen to FM radio and transmit music to your car stereo
- Did I mention that it's fully open linux? No HelloOX, no hacking, you have the full operating system at your disposal. It comes with a terminal with root capabilities.
- The N900 will be upgradable to the next version of Maemo, Maemo 6, as every internet tablet has had a guaranteed support for at least 2 future OS's.
- N900 has a PowerVR SGX, Opengl ES 2.0, do i have to say more?
- N900 will support usb HOST!, just like the n810, meaning you can plug in usb drives, hard drives, usb mice, etc. Any usb peripheral will work!
- The N900 is truly powerful, if you have seen the demo video you'll see during the application switcher that programs are updated IN REAL TIME while your switching applications! Video keeps on playing and you can see it WHILE you're alt tabbing, like in windows vista/7

((2Video)) Look ad the promoting guy in the black Maemo.org shirt while he is toying with the 900 it seems to be strapt to the charger when he is making the foto it is not of course and look ad the other guy when he talks in the begining the battery is halfway after a while of talking trash the battery drops now that does not need to mean anything but sinds the battery is 1320 ...

Nokia should opted to use new and fresh set of icons for their Maemo device. Seeing those "touch icons" gives it a "symbian-ish" feel.
