this is not good phone..and one thing..sony ericsson should throw away their standard ports in terms of charging and usb transfers..at least they should go for a mini USB or micro usb..at least

It's funny to read all the comments, many smartphone guys say this is not a good phone becasue bad camera, slow internet etc.
so will you not drive until you have enough money to buy a ferrari? it's the same concept. sometime you dun need a sport car, what you need is a smart, or a family car, or even jeeps.
what's wrong of these people, smartphone is not the only type of good phone, as long as a phone can satisfy my needs, it looks smart to me.

This is a very nice phone, also the nokia the arte series.
I think what make a phone good is not just those wify, 3g, touchscreen etc. also the look, and the purpose of the phone.
say i have a business phone already and i am receive hundreds of email everyday, and that makes me really want a phone like this one, so i can hold a nice quality but no more business.
remember no one really needs email, internet or all those communication stuffs all the time, since we have some other meaningful things matter to our life.

its funny that som many peole know that this phone is not good. FRo seeing an animated movie...
This is more of a concept model for a market segment that likes stylish phone,
It is not meant to compete with iphone or omnia hd or Satio.

here we can see different opinions and as for myself i see that a new se is evolving and that a positive news to the mobile market ,, the people who are really followers of se should start to feel the changes in the sony ericsson approach in the their portofolio ..
se would not be bankrupted and closed down since its the only company that completes the portofolio of their big brothers ericsson and sony .
I can feel that next year we shall see a new company with different segments in the market to serve and for me that a good and positive news
good work and let hope for better

SE needs a best selling models that they don't have this time. They are too late to enter the market.. Samsung/ LG, Nokia does good moves with a lot full touchscreen like iPhone form mid to high. Smartphone is rising and SE only have the expensive X1 (next will be Satio & X2), the retired UIQ G700/900. The Walkman & Cyber-shot era has passed. That's why SE is going down..

i'm pretty sure t... moreyou are right but you are at the wrong place...cause see this place is full if SE fans who wouldn't admit to any negative features a SE phone has, now even if it comes to an exquisitely expensive but barely visible screen (non-colour + transparent that helps a lot)...so im sure you'll get a few negative replies for your honest post, cause these are die-hard SE fans! they'll waste their money, wouldn't care about recession BUT they'll freak out when someone like you say something brutally true about their beloved brand!
p.s. as i have said before that im not a fan of a particular brand. i have used Nokia, SE, Siemens, Samsung & LG...liked a few & didn't as well.fan of good phones NOT a worshiper of any brand. take care people.

This phone is not for cribbing ppl, its for old folks who just want voice call feature and who do not care about internet, camera or any tech savy things. Reason for having a transparent display is to make them use and feel young and stylish at the same time. this phone neither be expensive and not smartphone. it a different proposition but still branded in xperia is a good thing. This is a real innovation.
