Sony has always been one for minimalist designs. Their style is not to be overtly styalized, but rather to accentuate the individual. In the least the phones are made with premium materials that, when noticed, look fantastic. And while I do like the width of the phone... I too wish that the bottom and top bezels could be a bit smaller....
Sony has always gone out of their way to make sure that the specs in their devices would satisfy- and they've don't such a fantastic job outfitting their phones to be ahead of the curb that a lot of the older models still run fantastically! I think the appeal to the new Sony devices is more for the enthusiests- I think Sony just wants to remain relevant by having a new phone every six months that always manage to be better than the last. The more heads they can turn- the better IMO.
I have my z3 Tablet Compact, and my xperia z2. Theres nothing wrong with the z2 at all, I love it- but the enthusiast in me wants the z4 (mostly because I know the battery life will continue to be improved as with the z3 along with a few other extra goodies).
I really hope Sony gets the whole smartphone bit down, I'd be very sad to see this phone be the last....

Because Sony, i switched to android from Iphone 4.
I like Sony's trademark design.
not copied from other brands.
I'm always satisfied with Sony smartphone performance.
Z1 Compact & Z3 Compact.
Both are the best choice from Sony Mobile.

Personally, it is a fight between the Z4 and G4 for me! The S6 looks just as boring as previous Galaxy S iterations but not ruling it out based on rumours! Top of the wish list is the Nexus 7 (if it 7", deal me out), assuming one will be made and no botched marketing strategy!

All Sony phones look nice perform laggy. And loads of bloatware. Every Sony phone I ever. From SP to Z all laggy. Hence why I got Iphone 6. and loving the speed and no bloatware.

Awesome phone. I might finally change from my Z1 to this, which has been performing brilliantly. Not a single lag till now.
Internal memory= 11.4gb/11.8gb,
SD Card= 53gb/59.2gb..
Still runs butter smooth. That's efficiency for u. Dunno why Sony's making a loss. Maybe it's time to reduce those bezels actually. Otherwise, Sony phones are excellent!!
