Snapdragon 618 and 620 specs leak, show Cortex-A72 cores

05 February, 2015
This contradicts an earlier leak that showed the Snapdragon 620 as a Taipan-based chipset.

What i call a total BS is the rumor of the next gen 8xx SoC to be build on 14nm process.Who will print it?!? Intel most surely not, while the only other foundry (to be) capable for that i.e. sammy Texas plant wouldn't have the capacity serve Apple let alone Qualcomm.

Cheers

Whats taking them so long to get their custom core ready? Using arm chip designs mean snapdragon/mediatek/exynos are all the same.....

Nokia 808 is lousy phone and is good as dead, nobody cares about Nokia anymore.

I call it BS... (at least the 28nm part, that is almost for shure BS...)

This seems fake, its more like someones wishlist, why would a mid range SOC use such a high end core. I bet the snapdragon 620(when annouced) will use higher clocked A53's or Qualcomms next custom core.

It may be better than mediatek like all the fanboys are saying. But I will still go for the more reasonably priced ,(cheaper @ $150-$250) mid range (40k antutu), 2-3GB RAM, 64bit, Mali T-760, Mediatek based smartphone than this easily manipulated processor(similar performance but overpriced by top manufacturers). Social climbers will definitely buy these latest chips money can buy so that they can play candy crush and Clash of Clans much smoother.

Heh, the old Nokia 808 can handle 1 billion pixels per second and in fact it does it every time you open up the camera app.

I'd be more inclined to believe the first leak showing the 620 using the Taipan cores.

I don't think A72 was designed for 28nm. It's probably impossible to built it using that technology.
Also the USB 2.0 must be another mistake.

Seems a bit hard to believe as a72 is a higher version of a57, which is only there in 810. So I doubt if a 600 series processor will have it.
