Apple and its profit, as a presentation of ill society consumerism, giving all that buck for a phone while half of the world population lacks on food and water...
Samsung as a sole representative of dirty profit oriented marketing tricks ( cheating benchmarks, paying online trolls, using its market status strength to undermine competition,...)...
Yeah, Im sad that such companies exist and sadly make most profit, cause people, their consumers, dont really know or care about their bussiness ethics...
So it is not about phones, but a much bigger overall picture...

1GB is equal to 1024mb
4GB is 8 times the size of 512MB
512x8= 4096MB and that is equivalent to 4GB...
1GB=1024MB
1MB=1024KB
1KB=1024Bytes
So 4GB its not actualy means 512MB...

Why Samsung Lag? or should I ask... why android lag?
Well technically ALL Android phones will lag it doesnt matter if that phone has a beastly SoC. The problem with Android is that its system rely heavy on cache. This files may build overtime thus hindering the phones performance.

and trust me 720p screen is enough for a phone

I've sworn off Samsung phones but only because they insist on having physical/capacitive navigation keys.
I honestly don't see where all the hate for Exynos SoCs is coming from. My Exynos Note 2 was and still is an excellent performer. It runs games better than my Z3 (and previously, my G3).
You may argue that it's because the Note 2 runs at 720p but I can't imagine that that's the only thing it has going for it.
