Lollipop updates have been such a widely publicised disaster after disaster it's amazing that people still actually want Lollipop.

At least we know where all the guinea pigs are.

Your logic is bad : latest moto G 4G (with a SD400) is running already lollipop. So better read twice source of the article.

The problem is NOT whit the capacity of hardware plataform, if you said that then Moto G an all devices snap400 should have more difficult to receive lollipop, because that Moto X's snapdragon s4Pro is more capable, specially the GPU.

The problem is not really a problem, simply Moto X 2013 have a really speciall arquitecture of CPU (X8) with all cores integrated, so Motorola have to adapt the system lollipop to it, which requires more time to develop

wow, there i thought motorola might be the one oem that could deliver update faster than the rest. Lollipop update to moto x(2 Gen) is not even world wide yet.

"Moto X (1st Gen) will get L, but chipset requires more effort. We're working to deliver satisfactory experience, performance."

Hmmm... That for S4Pro? Doesn't smell good in my opinion. Looks like it may be a mess (like sluggish) when it will be released.

Moto g first generation international gsm version is also yet to be updated, I refer to the single sim version of the original moto g. Motorola had done very little for the original moto g to get updated for lollipop. Motorola moto g is yet to be updated not everyone has recieved lollipop update. This is misleading information from Motorola. Not all its product lineup is updated though it claims because I have a moto g global gsm version and I have not received an update till date...Motorola not happy..
