O2 Rip off, 11 Sep 2009Hi in response the iphone and o2 are one big rip off. tel... morewell think about it - if your paying an i phone contract at 44.05 with o2 - which is for 24 months - but u can change ur phone after 21 months - which would cost u then 925.05 ( for that period of time) however in the shops the new iPhone 3G 16GB is £440.40 now minus that from the ttl amount of the contract that leaves you 484.65 - but guess what you have jus brought an iphone with no mintues or texts - whilst o2 - gives 1200 mintues -500 texts and unlimited internet!!Now if you were wanting say a rolling sim - you be paying around about 25- 30 - now taking the lower charge at - 25 timesx that with 21 months - would cost you around about - 525 - now minus that from the remainers of the muni that o2 is charguing you for your contract - ANF WHA LA - O2 A GIVING YOU A CHEAPER PRICE AND GETTING U A GR8 DEAL - DO THE MATHS HUNI

[deleted post]It costs $19.95 for a battery and it has full instructions and tools to do it yourself.
Do you have to go to an Apple store to replace your battery, the answer is NO you can do it at home.

The iPhone now has more games than the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP, it's so awesome all the major game makers release titles for the iPhone.
Assasins Creed 2 should be good the first one was great, the iPhone absolutely annihilates any other phone as a gaming platform.
The sound quality it outputs is the best of ANY phone as well as was shown in the GSM Arena reveiw with "perfect" sound reproduction.
There are so many accessories available in any electrical store.
It is so far ahead of other small minded phone manufacturers it's not funny.
The iPhone does half of the worlds mobile browsing and two thirds of the US, it downloads more YouTube files than any other phone, it's the number one camera on FLICKR, just mind blowing in how it changes the way people use their phones.

There are apparently so much issues or lack of elementary functions in iPhone OS, they had to make a big fuss of it.
I have tried the iPhone and I accept there are people who do enjoy an OS where you can't customize it in your unique way.

Deep space bar, 11 Sep 2009What new features like mmsing since they lied about it last... moreI've been able to send MMS since the day I updated to OS3.0, I tried it once or twice but it compresses the pictures so much they look like crap and it costs a million times more than sending as many full size photo's as I want by email.
MMS is for old people or primary school kids with $30 phones, like the majority of phones that Nokia sells.

Deep space bar, 11 Sep 2009Go to the apple store and ask them if osx supports torrents... moreTry Transmission on OSX it works real sweet on Snow Leopard, my brother was using Limewire on a Dell with 7 and couldn't even download a file, I hit that torrent on the same wifi network and sucked it down at 500K.
Vuze is also pretty good you can watch files while streaming them, Frostwire is another one and Limewire which started on MacOS 9.
Download Perian for the codecs and VLC to watch anything you want with OSX.
You know nothing at all about ANY apple products at all, yet you come on here with your inane comments in poor English, about crap vintage phones and expect people to believe you.
The 5800 is a POS after 2 minutes I wanted to smash it against the wall the touchscreen is so irritating to use.

The ... moreThat's your opinion but you as others who make fair adjustment knows what the iPhone lacks and you using the blackberry isn't a fair competition because the blackberry is used more by professionals then iPhones from medical to civil workers and it's not near the best in smartphones because hear in the states we only compare phones to carriers and not unlock phones. Most Americans have a fear factor when buying unlock phones in this is proven. No flash for pics or Internet or video and these days the highend smartphones are challenging digital cameras and that is proven as well

Apple is the worst company, has the worst management, the worst ceo, horrible marketing, and horrible garbage phones which never work, fail and need constant servicing. We live in a world were everyone wants a device that can do it all. I have the iPhone 3gs currently but giving it to my girlfriend and buying the n900 by nokia which I believe is the change for all new mobile high end phones. No applications or hyperlinks like on a iPhone a great camera and video recorder with geo tagging in uploading to various social sites. I believe Nokia is on to something that's remarketable and this new device is the start of it. Sure it may look like a thick brick but the iPhone is a thin brick and who really cares. What one cares about is what it has to offer and my mates the the n900 has that offering at least we hope. Research and compare and see for yourself.

You guys need to chill. I've read every comment made here in it's far from what the article is all about. It feels like it's a mac against pc battle in here. Bottom line is: when you check the stats Nokia is number one and symbian is number one as well they own a majority of the market and everyone else fights over the rest. iTunes is number one hands down but nokia fans should not pout over that because ovi has just started and soon will be able to compete with iTunes but it will take some time, but for now they are very impressive. I'm piss at apple with this new update and really don't see any signifance changes and want to burn AT&T to the ground for making us wait for mms which is not apple fault. Each phone is catered to different markets and apple don't take much risk and in business that's smart. So they revamp the same phone over and over again. But it's not the best phone but a good one nonetheless .

The 3Gs seems to have taken care of almost all of the little things a phone needs (video camera, MMS etc). The only thing left I think is flash for the camera. That being said, most people don't care much about the camera anyways, that's what actual stand alone camera's are for. Phones are just for those quick shots every now and then. After comparing the iPhone to blackberry's, I've come to realize that the iPhone beats Blackberry's almost in every aspect. I'm only using Blackberry as an example because they are probably the biggest competition in the smartphone world.
