its been 7 months since this Post was posted... till now... no official announcement for lollipop update.... I think.. we the users as masses.. should boycott these manufacturers from our buying lists.. Micromax... Mediatek... as... Micromax as manufacturer of Phones cant force Mediatek to provide code for update... nor Mediatek is looking to provide any support for these vendors...
we should unite and teach these manufacturers a lesson.. that if we can make them rise... we can cause their fall too...
I now opt for Snapdragon, Samsung Exynos or Intel based phones for friends and family...
have bought 17 phones of these manufacturers... and being in Systems Support... catering to 1000+ users base... I recommend these processor based phones...
NO MORE CHEAP MEDIATEK...
creating a small ripple affect... lets see... if this pushes these companies... not only to manufacture... but support their products too...
XIAOMI too is out of my list as not supporting.. Redmi Note 3G... forget about Lollipop... even Kitkat is not supported... whereas this model was launched in December 2014... just 7 months ago....
Shame on these Companies.... and on us too... that even after so many users report of such issues... we still go any buy products of these manufacturers... and after that we beg to these companies to provide support & updates......
