This phone looks great. What I like the most about the design is the efficient coverage by the screen display. Great way to reduce the potential size of the device.

Will you all keep the "[phone model] is dead" remarks. It's just plain stupid.

So if the "supposedly dead phone model" maker releases a better one, then this will die too, right? Jeez.

      @symbian hater,

I hate the smugness of Apple.

It would be perfect if the screen is AMOLED and the camera is 8 Mega pixels. I hope Leo will be able to record video using at least VGA resolution.

no the battery is really too small. this screen is an LCD not AMOLED and it's huge!! so guess what will be the battery performance and also i hope they make use of the large size of the screen too, if it was the same resolution as the Diamond2! at 800x480 that would be waste of the extra one inch

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2009Agreed. WinMo is the only platform to develop as what u lik... moreMicrosoft won't get their act together as far as touch optimisation goes until WinMo 7 is released.

HTC is the largest manufacturer of WinMo devices, almost half the phones they make are now Android.

Palm has now officially dumped WinMo, Motorola is winding back on WinMo device, Samsung and LG have picked up some of the slack but they are still small players in this space.

WinMo is on it's last legs, Microsoft (as usual) sat on their fat butts and did nothing, for too long and now they are paying for their slackness.

Their new marketplace is extremely restrictive, it costs $99 for a developer to submit an application, if it's rejected they have to pay another $99 to resubmit it, there is a size limit of 10MB on application cab files.

The Zune marketplace is a totally separate entity with only in-house developed "free" applications, "free" apart from the ads you have to sit through as applications load.

Contrast this to the Apple App store with over 50,000,000 devices (iPhones and iPod Touch's) able to access the same Apps and all capable of running the same OS version.

Among the 75,000+ Apps available you'll find plenty of business applications, at an enterprise level companies can develop their own in-house applications and supervise the roll out of iPhones set up the way they want.

Last, 19 Sep 2009Nice phone, but to large for pocket.maybe your pocket is too small:))
or is the iPhone also too big for you?
it's only 5mm longer and 5mm wider then the iPhone, and also it's thiner! So bearing in mind 4.3 inch screen its's just perfect!

Although the screen size may take up some battery, the snap dragon processor itself is comapratively energy saving I have been told making is comparable to a 1500mah battery.

awesome specs but 4.3inch screen is too over the top for me. making the phone too large to fit nicely in my pocket and my palm. if there was a smaller version of this, say 3.5inch screen with the same specs, i will defo get it...but not this.

You're forgetting Symbian. IMO WinMo AND Symbian are the most customizable. We'll just have to wait to see Maemo =)
