23 September, 2009
Everyone knows that the Intel Atom dominates the netbook market, but what about smartphones? In early 2010, they will have both a suitable CPU and an OS - the Moorestown system on a chip and an updated...

Personally I think if Intel dose jump into the Mobile phone market, its gonna really mean trouble for a lot of companies I think. Really what will make or break they're stuff would be the hardware. But if they crank out things that have very strong multimedia abilites, coupled with that moblin thing, or whatever OS they devlop that could result some of the most powerful all in one devices out there. And because its Intel...it'll work, and work very well. We're talking about a company thats givin us some of the most life changing innovations in technology, not to mention everyone uses they're stuff. This will definatly be something interesting to watch and see what happens in the future with this proposal.

I'm pretty sure this SoC is still spread across two pieces of silicon, an integrated cpu/gpu/mem controller alongside an IO hub. They could appear in the same package or chip carrier though. Either way it will save a hell of a lot of real estate and power. will be interesting. could be a pivotal moment in the industry.

[deleted post]I already told you that only low-end phones are outsourced to companies like Foxconn, but you dont want to understand and the problem doesnt consist with me or mobilemaster or SE, but the problem consist with your brain
about Xperia lines (which is the only high-end phone to be outsourced), SE needed help because they didnt have experience with WinMo and thats why HTC participated in the X1, but now SE will manufacture X2 themself, but Mobinnova and Asus will also help them.
Finally all what I care about is having a perfect phone and if SE X2 will offer me that perfectness than I will buy it for sure

[deleted post]Low end phones from every company are outsourced SE givd to sagem & Flex, Nokia gives to Greenberry & Flex, Motorola and RIm gives to Foxcon, samsung gives to Flextronics and foxcon, LG gives to foxcon, plus there are many more chinese and taiwanese companies who manufacture the phones for the big companies, but the original design including research is done by the company themself including the idea, concept, requirements, test validation.

remember all the OEM's mentioned here (Sagem, Greenberry, Fox & Flex) are Chinese/Taiwanese companies who has manufacturing lines in China, Taiwan and India.
Do you understand it now ??!!

                              Hi,

actually i was a bit disappointed in nokia boklet. @US$800 sales will surely really slow, especially because it contain Windows (same as others). but if nokia make it with moblin, and with even better battery life, and smaller size. i'm pretty sure it would fall into different category and sales will be great.

In the past, everyone had a Palm OS device and every mobile developer would develop for it. The problem was they did not do a good job going to more advanced devices and phones. But the success of Palm OS was because of wide spread usage.
The same is true for Windows on the desktop, it might not be the best OS but it is the most used.
The next good and successful mobile OS will be the one who more companies are involved and more people use.
WinMo already had it's oportunity and it missed it.
PalmOS and WebOS will have a hard time recovering too.
Be it Moblin, Maemo, or any other thing, please all of you big company executives, start some alliance with all the big players and start something big, open, mainstream and widespread.

I am not an english man, so sorry if I make mistakes. :)The N97 needs more CPU speed. ABout the X2 was made by Foxconn, those are rumors, now we are in 2009, not in 2008 December(those news are from 2008 December) Now I am busy, we will talk afternoon. Bye bye.

The Satio is a Japanese name, the Aino too(Aino is a family name), so those phones was developed by SE Japan, I read this on a mobile phone site, don't believe I don't know anything, I don't a lot of things. The N97 is slow, 434MHZ is not enough for 32Gb int. memory. Have a nice day.
