gg, 02 Mar 2015Jolla announced they were looking for partners 3 years ago.... moreNobody said it'd be easy, good luck you having more success in such a ferocious market.
Canonical looks like it *might* "finally" be on a better trajectory...
But till recently Jolla had executed far better, "despite" Canonical have far more resources & other advantages at it's disposal.

Jolla announced they were looking for partners 3 years ago. They then announced with much fanfare at MWC last year that Sailfish was ready for partners to license it.
A year later, same announcement.
Tumbleweed.

"Another major announcement from the Finns is their cooperation with Intel to make Sailfish OS 2.0 come out with support for the latest Atom x3 processor."
Interesting.... they should drop ARM altogether and go full x86-64 SoC then for Jolla 2. If Asus can risk it with their Zenfone 2 why not push the same envelope for Sailfish?

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2015Nokia does not exist anymore, its Microsoft Mobile nowNokia exists, god damn it! They're just forbidden to make phones until 2016. The thing they sold to Microsoft was their current mobile phone division, but nothing can stop them from creating a new one.

I'm a Jolla user from India, The phone as such is built well. And the software and experience is something really new. But I feel that Jolla has a different policy when it sells its phone in non European countries. That's a big let down.

Why not Nokia? I have all the top dogs of the last 3 years but still use my N9 as my daily pocket phone. It's an addictive phone with its design and MeeGo os UI

Nokia, I reckon.
A communicator-style device would be nice.. it'd give BlackBerry some competition.
