Vodafone and carriers in general will learn the hard way. They will sell about 10 of them... No one will want a crippled device with tons of branding and advertisement.

        Stick to providing cell services.

Love the contact menu, the 3D menu and effect. (Still need to touch up for the speed, some lagging occurred)

But sorry la, the main menu is simply ugly, it like copycat of iphone main menu but look ugly and cheap!.

I am a BIG fans of Samsung but not this, hopefull Samsung out better LiMo phone without any service provider partner, and remember redesign the Main Menu.

Nice features, lazy design... has anyone else noticed that its general shape / layout is virtually an exact match for Samsungs own I890 Omnia HD??

No it is not a shame when Vodafone makes a new mobile which its OS design somewhat looks like iPhone, no problem at all. I personally was expecting from new mobiles to make everything new and different to us. I don't like imitation at all, this is me, I am not asking from others to be me. iPhone is not the best and will never be the best, because it can't be the best in the world since it is the best for me.
And yes, as Matt saidDaddyCool said and could be very true since he tried the new Vodafone:
"I would agree that whilst they are trying to copy some of the iphone's ideas in terms of design, they have admittedly pioneered a new way of mobile working which could equally revolusionise the way we use phones".

Slow, (apparently) no capacitive T/S. However if Samsung releases the kernel modules and the O/S as copyleft open-source, the follow up models will ROCK the market!

I recently had the priviledge of using this new handset and was very pleasantly surprised despite previously disliking Samsung products. It's key selling point is the fact that it syncronises wirelessly everytime you do anything. From taking pictures to adding a contact, the instant you do anything it is automatically backed up to a global PC account, making lost phones and lost contacts a thing of the past. Linked in with the new SatNav funtionality (that can actually find one of your phone's contacts' global position so you can see them on your handset before they arrive!). Make no mistake, Vodafone have lost alot of business because of the iphone, so I would agree that whilst they are trying to copy some of the iphone's ideas in terms of design, they have admittedly pioneered a new way of mobile working which could equally revolusionise the way we use phones. A very clever piece of kit.

[deleted post]The words of someone who has clearly never used WinMo or HTC's TouchFlo UI.
It's so far beyond the bland grid of icons that Apple use that to try and compare the two is laughable.

Anyway, if you want innovation, why are you championing the iPhone?
Nothing about it's UI is innovative, it's just a patchwork of elements lifted from pre-existing products produced by other manufacturers, with an Apple logo on the back.

Back on topic: I can't see how the release of these handsets can be seen as a good thing - the last thing any of us need is yet another competing OS. We already have three, better established, cross-platform OSs vying for market-share, not to mention the three manufacturer-specific smartphone OSs. On top of that, there's also the looming threats of Moblin and Maemo, both of which are liable to be bigger players than this.
Given how few handsets this OS is available on and no concrete plans to release any more, one cannot help but feel that it's going to be woefully under-supported and that can only end up hurting the people who take the plunge and purchase one or other of these handsets.
