Phone Guru, 03 Mar 2015I would like to point to an earlier post which quoted "... morecurved phones? and how is curved phones helping the consumer? sorry but all that does is make the phone bigger for no reason and uncomfortable in your pocket.. i have no need for a curved phone as a flat screen phone does the job perfectly well.

I have had my Q10 since it was launched.. almost 2 years ago and it hasnt let me down once so your comment is not valid

So much about Samsung's claim in their launch event that the curved screen was something only they could do! Even good old blackberry, perhaps the least technically advanced phone manufacturer, is apparently launching their own curved screen phone, lol!

It's because none of them has phone with physical QWERTY keypad, and that's all.

I used HTC ChaCha before brought the BB. If HTC makes a similar phone then I may actually go back. However, BB is quite good to use.

Why wouldn't anyone consider BB if they don't likne iOS or android. Mnay business executives and privacy concerned individuals use BB phones for their robust security system, and I myself don't mind buying this one - Since I can afford it.

sk0llie, 03 Mar 2015Sorry I work in a retail shop selling cellphones... a... moreYou sell cellphones? Cute, but stop trying to pass yourself off as a tech guru. You know no more about your industry than a McDonalds cashier knows about supply chain management and nutritional content.

Blackberry is a hidden financial gem, with a trove of patents and a CEO unwilling to sell out. They form the fundamental basis government mobile solutions and have a profitable handset division. The QNX operating system is the basis of Apple Carplay (and remember Apple just went full deep mode on making a car) and technically, BB10 is the most advanced mobile OS in existance, written from the ground up after Android and iOS. But I wouldn't expect a salesman to understand how to read financial statements or to understand how a realtime operating system works, so all is forgiven. Keep selling your Android spyware handsets. The corporate world will keep trucking along, Google included, with BlackBerry.

You will never truly understand why they advertise making the devices unless you try it. Try it,you will never feel bad able it.
This slider would probably hit if it is android OS and BlackBerry OS combined. It doesn't look like BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 though...

I would like to point to an earlier post which quoted "Blackberry is the only company moving forwards and making changes in an otherwise boring rectangular shaped phone market.."

I would like to point out that the way the phone market is directed is actually towards sleak curved phones. For example iphone 6, Samsung galaxy S3, S4, S5, S6, S6 edge. HTC M8, mini One, Mini 2 are all curved phones. Apple and samsung being the market leaders. When it boils down to it blackberry are the market underdogs, behing the two learders, behind htc, three chinese companies, sony & nokia.

Blackberry handsets are terrible, old fashioned and unreliable to boot. Investing in one of these products for two years is almost like buying a cruise liner and using it to store nothing more than a few pairs of shoes.

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2015Interesting to note that you didn't refute any of his point... moreThis sales person has an antiquated information about BB. Examples: BIS is no longer the norm for BB10 devices because all new devices work with wifi just as any Android do. He says phone has too much software. WRONG. BB10 is the most efficient OS there is. On the other hand, other platforms are the ones with too much BLOATWARE. Just look at Samsung and or HTC with their Touchwiz and Sense skins over the stock Android. Sales Person says BB cameras suck. WRONG. BB Passport camera can hold itself up against the other flagship cameras. BB 8 mp cameras (in Z10, Q10, Z30, etc.) are no worse than 8 mp shooters in the market. But Sales PErson misses the point. Blackberries are not built to cater to selfie types and apps-addict types. It is aimed at the professionals, the prosumers and people who value their communication and device/app security.

So that is the point. If a sales person approaches Blackberry from a Samsung-ish perspective, then he is off on the WRONG footing.

There was actually no need to "refute" his points, because these are non-points. this is for your information and proper guidance.
