AnonD-199447, 09 Mar 2015Sammy...welcome to 2010. We have seen similar phone in 2010... moreSamsung decided to omit the removable battery thing and the micro sd card slot deliberately because they know that what they have put in the esthetics is enough to lure a lot of people, then they will put it back in s7 as way to to lure customers again. S7 will come with the same design but with a memory card slot and a slightly bigger battery and RAM(4GB) and maybe larger screen size.

128gb sd card = 1 TB harddisk price.

Better keep your media at home. So you can pick to use any phone your choice. But that is if you can live with your data plan, and have occasional wifi coverage.

Samsung has also claimed the following:

            - Record sales for the S5 (turned out to be channel stuffing)
            - 800,000 galaxy gear sold (they had to give most of these away since consumers didnt want them)
            - Falsified Galaxy Tab sales. They actually lied about this in their 10K, lying to investors

These numbers are just hype to make people think that the Galaxy S6 is really popular, and, thus, getting more people to buy them

But i guess its true, when your country have bad network, and you have to save all the money you have by using mutliple sims and slots, it can be bad news.

But when you have a flagship phone, whereby the lower end consumers cannot even begin to afford. It do well to remove all these useless features, like slots / fm radio / removable batteries.

Why? Good network = can connect to home NAS / Mac /PC and stream full quality videos. and over 6TB worth of media. No worries of losing my data on the slots. No hassle to deal with which sim card call which user, all use viber / all kinds of connecting options. Digital radio is crips and clear. Don't even bother about duplicated stuff or usb transfer, all goes thru backend home server.

I see lot of support for Samsung... i dont hate that but why are they hating iPhone where the S6 is clearly inspired from iPhone looks and SD, battery facility?

Apart from this, I would go to LG because of their butter smooth software...never ever TouchWiz. If the cost of S6 is any where closer to iPhone 5s then we can give a try.

It will be called the Galaxy S6 Sport. =) It probably won't be dual sim, though. If you're patient enough to wait till June, you shall reap the reward. :)

Even if I have gotten the 128GB version (which would be rare and the most expensive, I believe), an OPTION of having another 128GB of extra storage can't hurt at all. If they can do a special version with dual SIM cards for the Philippines, they can do it with a micro-SD slot. Go figure.

I would like to have a lot of media on the go. For example, I carry lots of tutorial video (40GB) pertaining to 3DS Max and Revit which I'm trying to master. And I would like to carry around dozens of FHD movies, audio books, and TV series around to help me past the time. Those wireless portable HD just have around 4-6 hours of operation. Yeah, 128GB internal storage can take probably what I need, but again, that micro SD slot can be the best way to swap to a tablet when I need to.

And how is a fixed battery going to help with for the heavy users like me? Yeah, bring that charger plug and/or power bank? I happen carry 2 extra batteries for my Galaxy Note, and sometimes I download some 2GB worth of data on a 4-hour stretch, and I need to change batteries by then. Plugging in during those LTE downloading sessions increases heat, thereby contributing to shortening the life of the battery. Cycling the 3 batteries actually prolongs the charge hold of each, and keeping my Note slim as it should be instead of using a power jacket or some bulky extended battery like Zerolemon that make it impossible to put my Note into my top pocket.

I too do not care for water-resistance, however it'd be nice for Samsung to have retained this. The news is that Apple is now going to do water-resistance for the future iPhones. Samsung to follow them again?
