Yeah this thing about SDcard is pure nonsense, a lot of Samsung fanboys were harping about how they 'use it all the time' when they never actually used it. Now that samsung ditched it with the S6 and S6 edge it's all ok now, figures. Thing is it never was a big deal to begin with if the extra storage was provided. The only true argument is that you can buy extra storage for cheap rather than pay the outrageous extra these OEM wants for the higher capacity but actually taking it out and moving it into some other reader, frequently at that, is pure BS.
One thing though, the swap-able battery, yeah that was a good thing, if the battery went bad after a year or two, the user doesn't need to be tech savvy to change the battery by themselves.
Z4 needs significantly improve browsing endurance. No phone, bar maybe the droid turbo, really does it when you are out all day on 3G/4G LTE. If Sony can manage the same level of fine work they did in the Z2 and Z3 they can have a true amrket differentiation in the Z4.

jdjd, 09 Mar 2015I will definitely do not buy a phone without SD support. Wi... moreSince the Xperia Z4 is supposed to utilise a Snapdragon 810, it should have a USB 3.0 connection. This would have made large file transfers much quicker anyway.
However it looks like manufacturers are insisting on using the outdated USB 2.0 specification, even on their most expensive phones.

Besides, you just plug the usb to pc. Done. Slot or no slots can work.
Sony best to remove slots from their phones. And provide us with 128gb instead.

I will definitely do not buy a phone without SD support. With SD card i can do many things easily on the phone. One simple use is transferring big files using phone's SD card. If u can not make use of SD card and dont need it, buying low and mid range phones will save you money..

Samsung and apple has market share dominance, samsung can take a gamble by not having sd card support with the s6 range
Sony don't, same with htc, no sd support is commercial suicide, its probably in the same port covering as sim card
