It is interesting how seasonality (Chinese New Year) affects Samsungs profit but companies like Apple, Xiaomi seem to be resilient.

All the extra performance and quality simple outshines NOT having an SD card slot and ability to replace the battery. There are alternatives to solve this issue, base GS6 starting at 32GB is good. 2. Use the cloud or transfer videos directly via USB to your computer. 3. Better processor efficiency is probably better battery life (I assume) 4. Option to use a Mophie case or external battery for more juice. What might be missed is the IP67 water resistance rating.

Samsung has become more like apple, no more sdcard slot and removable battery. So why should I bother with samsung, buy iphone instead.

Apple present their numbers same way like Samsung. Operators buy the phones from the OEMs based on preorder and letters , and they are not fools. A soon as the operators buy the phones from the OEMs , they sold.
Only from the Apple Store, Apple can provide exact numbers, but that's not the point.

When they say that Samsung will ship 46 million Galaxy s6s. Does that also mean Galaxy s6 Edge and the models to follow, like always. Or just the first basic Galaxy s6?
