But about ui interaction your bias cannot change that this is the one setting standards, now when the others know how to do it right the Apple Watch is THE trendsetter above all.

The Strategy of the fruit vendor is different I guess, they are not trying to compete with android wear, rather trying to compete with mainstream watches of the same price bracket, and build up a premium appeal.
Nevertheless that digital crown in my opinion is a seriously bad ui interaction method.

This is very doubtful, Samsung sold 1.2M smartwatches last year and then the first smartwatch done right should sell only 3M in initial sales? That must be a very limited launch, like only the eastern parts of the Gobi desert.

This could be another Apple's marketing strategy, announced less figure and telling people that they're short, and also not enough workers to make them. So that way, people(Apple fans) will think that it is buy now or that they're not able to get one.
