Gizmos are freakin' overpriced in Brazil. The 1st gen Zenfone 5 with 1.2GHz SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 3G, costs about the same as Galaxy Win 2. The Zenfone 2 will surely cost north of $400 here.

samsung blows my mind. they just keep producing phone after phone after phone with a million different names. cheap garbage getting flooded to every market. hasnt anyone learnt from apple that if you produce just 1 decent phone people will buy it? stop dumping 40tonne of garbage all over the world. i work in a telco and we sell cheap samsungs and they are GARBAGE

stupid phone for this kind of market, in Brazil the most popular phones are the Moto G and Moto G2 and the Zenfone...and for the same price as the sammysh*t asking for this crap! NO WAY people gonna buy it! sammy lose market again!

... moreActually it is quite a good bang for your buck here in Brazil - yes, we are in a bad shape here.
Sammy would have to worry if we had HTC, ZTE, Xiaomi (this might come until June), and a plethora of other brands here.
There are virtually no other 2015 phones already available in the same cost bracket offering better specs. Moto E 2015 does, but the selfie cam is inferior, and the main camera lacks flash. And not yet available to boot.
If Redmi 2 or Redmi Note were already up for grabs and in the same price bracket, then Sammy would be in trouble.
Perhaps not. Brazilians are conservative when it comes to brands. Chinese products have a bad history here. Even more so on items expensive here, like gizmos and cars. Support is another issue. Only if Xiaomi has support as well distributed as Sammy it might have a chance.

Seriousl... moreGalaxy Win sold like cold water in the desert here in Brazil. Lumias, not even close.
Don't get me wrong. Hardware wise, Lumias are nice, and a great bang per buck. But Windows Phone is a no-go in Brazil, not even close to 10%,if I recall correctly.
I bought a Galaxy Win for my dad last November. He is very happy with it. He uses it basically for playing Freecell and chatting via Whatsapp. The phone is more than adequate for both roles. The low resolution display is a non issue, he is using reading glasses for some years now.

Dear Samsung,
As much as I enjoy using your devices such as S3, S4, S5, and the Note series, you really need to set yourself apart.These budget friendly phones with minimal specs are simply not cutting it! Increase these specs or just drop the entire "Galaxy win line"
The competition for the sub $300 market is heating up and this phone is not going to make a dent.
