Hi,

The market is currently enjoying a good rally which has seen most stocks gain from competitive advantage and it would be advisable for all stock market enthusiasts to seize this opportunity and plan their investments in a safer yet conducive stock market. With NIFTY hovering around 4800-4900 +, it is expected to take hold of this currently rally and be realistically be closest to 5000 more so than before in what should be its new 52 week high.

Lot many untouched stocks are still there which are ready to blast any moment.

The global recession is far from over. These companies are doing well in spite of the worsening economy. The arri val of smartbooks in 2010 will present interesting challenges for the smartphone market. Ultimately both will coexist well but the adjustment by the mobile market will be interesting.

To the company's financial health, 18% is no biggie in a recession or if they're build long term brand equity through marketing. To speculators though... it's impossible to tell.

[deleted post]I'm sure you're well versed in the world of financial statistics but for the rest of us the article is just about understandable, this is afterall a website dedicated to analysing mobile phones not the stock market. GSMArena are clearly only mentioning these results as they have some relevance to the readers, what these readers do not need however is an industry-quality report that they will not be understand, apart from you of course...congratulations on that.

It this recession you're lucky to be in a profit.

HTC results are good considering the likes of Nokia is down about 90% profit from last year. Motorola, SE, Palm etc all reported huge loss.

HTC shouldn't only focus on "monopoly companies" like Microsoft and Google, even if they get paid for doing so.
