It will be interesting to see if the P8 can compete as a flagship without bt 4.1, wifi ac, nfc, 4k encode, ufs 2 and a beefy gpu. i guess they couldn't wait around for the kirin 940/950, and they HAVE come around with good chipsets in a short amount of time. Price will be telling.

Look at G3 guys.. it has qhd with 3000 batt and battery is just draining quickly..
Huawei said they planning with qhd s reens but for 6" and up phones ..where batt will be greater..

              What about the weigh ?

I don't think any need of QHD on a 5.2" device. If they want to keep the device slim, they will have to restrict the battery somewhere and that's why full HD makes more sense.

May be AMOLED display would be the best choice as it consumes lesser power.

I do not think QHD is overrated. My view is as long as maintains a ppi of at least 400ppi is will be sufficient. So i can see it on devices of at least 7inches, such as tablets. Not that much on phones.

Huawei is probably trying to make a statement. That thickness is overated and that battery is more important. P6 had 2000mAh at 6.2mm, P7 had 2500mAh at 6.5mm. P8 has ...mAh at ...mm
