AnonD-7433, 30 Mar 2015Soft flooring? It sure doesn't sound like a soft flooring. ... moreIt's that thin rubbery type flooring, good for shock absorption. Sounds can be deceiving..

First of all i found a higher quality version of this video, i implore you to check it out then read my theory below on why i believe this video is fake...well not fake but modified. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8kVfBROq-E

guys im really sorry to say this but this video might be a fake. let me explain. Someone below already posted their theory so i decided to test it. Right when she starts her video you can see the time of the phone is 12:10 which turns immediately to 12:11 so i decided to measure on a local stopwatch the duration of how long she threw the phone down. it was exactly 16 seconds and 14 milliseconds give or take 10 milliseconds. at this point in time she has picked the phone back up and we can see that the time is now 12:12. there is an un-accounted for 40 second time difference, in which she could have put down a new phone and picked it up pretending it was the same phone she had thrown down. I really hope because i ordered the 32 gb black sapphire edge and im really hoping its as strong as this :D. im wrong but most signs in this video point to it being fake...unfortunately.

Upon further testing i slowed the video down to .25 and realized that we hear the sound of impact before the actual device hits, which is weird considering we would hear it at the same time especially since its in slow motion, also the last drop the device makes a weird turn after being hit, it looks like it spun but there is a weird cutoff point, like 1 second to half a second where i see what looks to be a turned off device, suddenly turn on, from being thrown which is also abnormal as even without a lockscreen you still to need to touch the home button or powerbutton to get out of black sleep mode. lastly the chime it makes, if you check any of the s6 edge reviews youll notice thats the chime the phone makes when its unlocked, meaning that reason that we the device suddenly turn on and chime is that its a replacement device put there and the footage was later cut, this would explain the sudden time jump from 12:11 to 12:12. thnx to +Quin Stobbe for posting his theory out there and allowing me the insight to test it out.

Not a very good way of testing the durability of this screen but yeah it gives hope. I wonder how many screens or phones she has already broken that we are not shown here

i dont care what u guys said , but if u look at her hand move not same as the screen respond ... and why video 240? did they using 00's samsung phone record this video ?

and thats why many people believe this video is fake ..

and why there is no lock screen .. yeah i know android can turn off lock screen, but... people do that ??

With details and prove showed by iphone6 plus and Galaxy S6, frankly speaking Galaxy S6 gets a win on this one. My fact may not be quite but it is bass on personal perspective.

But I'd bet you won't even survive the first slam. :D

Most phones can survive these kind of drops if the surface is perfectly flat and clean.

I saw the S6 edge recently at our local Best Buy here in California. Only eyesore is the camera hump on the back. But the phone looks just as good in person than in pictures. I only saw the S6 edge in white and black and saw a regular S6 in black. It gets released here April 10. Feels light and only 700 mb is being used of RAM. Best-looking Samsung smartphone ever! TouchWiz was very quick and smooth. The S6 does feel better in the hand but the edge doesn't feel so bad with enough side and bezel to hold it comfortably. Samsung has got a winner in their hands. Two of them. The S6 looks pretty good in its own right.

Please next time give it to someone who also knows how to work with an android phone not someone who only knows how to break one. Most of her swipes while using the phone was like a new android user. Why you should swipe up in home screen ? :D
