I used midrange smartphones with mediatek processor. It worked smoothly for me. But the only problem is that making a custom rom for mediatek devices is pain in arse. I request mediatek to openly provide all necessary binaries and source so that I and many others out there can make great ROMs for mediatek devices!

What a joke! Snapdragon 810 will completely mince this, I think they should concentrate on entry level chips, that way they wouldn't humiliate themselves.

People don't realize that buying mediatek is staying stuck in older android builds.
Nice chinese phones are flooding the market but won't get any support besides a few bugfixes even if they intended to due to Mediatek.

I am for 120Hz, it will feel more natural than poor 60. In real world this is still incomparably small number, I would add it to camera as more real smooth video.
24p/30p/60p all is to save space and processing, nothing else.

[deleted post]MT6752 is the best mid ranger in the market right now. It pretty much rapes anything else and is actually faster than last year's high end.
But you're right, this SoC is a dud. Too bad, Mediatek lately had started to create very fast SOCs. This one (MT6795?) will be a plaything in the hands of the likes of Exynos 7420, etc.

First release kernal source for lollipop update. Chips like MT6592, MT6589 and MT6589T ETC. then release new chips. I am using MT6589T handset. Still i am stuck on jelly bean. Pls provide lollipop update for existing chips.

High-end SoC meand high-end 1+ TFLOPS GPU for tablets and 300+ GFLOPS for phones. Hardly for MediaTek unless it utilize some pro AMD GPU from their rumored partnership.
