I really like the S4/G2 size. 5.2, 5 or even 4.7" should be the flasgship screen size, not the 5.5 or 5.7- these should be reserved for G4+, Note, etc...

Heh. They can improve LCD as much as they like, but they will never match Oled screens. And they'll never escape "black" color problem.

I agree that 5.5" are to much for a phone..
we ain't all basketball players..
this thing with size and pixels is just stupid and meaningless. does anyone really notice a difference except the poor battery life?
5.5" is phablet territory, and not everyone wants a phablet..
to the smartasses here that have the answer ready, "go buy a mini" I suggest to go buy a phablet if they need to watch movies in the palm of their hands.. the rest of us use home theaters..
on the other hand I like the new features this display has (other than size and res) and really like the small bezels, I just wish my G2 had this small bezels and a 5" screen instead of 5.2", that would result in a width of 66mm at the most which would be perfect.

Ironically...LG didn't mentioned about power consumption of the display panel...!
Are they efficient like the Samsung AMOLEDs...?

120% color gamut is nice, but it would be better if it was 100% Adobe RGB color gamut coverage. It's a Bit misleading.

LG LG, 5.5" is normal for you? QHD on G3 resulted in a pathetic battery life. Please stop this useless features. Give us a 4.7" FHD with the 2015 specs on G4 , you can always have G4+ with 5.5 or 5.7" QHD.

And LCD does not make everything greyish. That's probably a grey cast on a specific screen

Display should be AMOLED. IPS displays are too old and should be discontinued. The backlight produces a greyish tone to all colours which makes these displays unreal and colours not vibrant.

They also had bottom placed headset jacks at least two years before apple. And the iPhone 6 design and frame looks like a Note 1.

Wow. That's awesome! Wider color gamma, more contrast, and 30% more brightness. And its 5.5 inch QHD. So in other words it will be a lot better than the G3!
But what about power consumption????
And did LG specifically say this will be in the G4? If so it could be promising. I wonder if they will accurately calibrate it or give it selectable modes.
It may not be Amoled but sounds like a great display!
