... moreNo, they aren't. Samsung is on 14nm finFET while TSMC is on 20 nm.
Even disregarding transistor distance, the fab process is different for each.

Apple is outsourcing this to Samsung because Apple is not smart enough to come up with a 14nm finFET solution.

Nice work Samsung.
Samsung's CPU chips are superior to TSMC's.
I recommend that everyone who wants an iPhone 6 to wait for the iPhone 6s. Force touch and 14nm CPU will be amazing.
