06 April, 2015
In Samsung's controlled conditions the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge prove tougher than a batch of 5 pencils.

Self Proclaimed, 06 Apr 2015Hahaha as usual samsung did it of course they don't want to... moreNo need to be embarrassed about the device of the year, which is going to break sales records.

Also, no need to cheat. The S6 is a beast! Nothing comes close.

Sony doesn't do it that much and look where they are now.

If it is a design issue then the whole millions of devices will be bent at least 50%.

Dont talk crap because you love samsung.

These tests are ridiculous. The S6 and other phones will never bend in the middle under normal usage.

The problem with the iPhone 6 Plus came from the bending under normal use near the volume rockers, not at the center.

Making BS studies to damage control for Apple isn't doing you Apple fans any favors. You guys should be angry that Apple continues making low-quality junk. Damage controlling for Apple will only want to make them continue making low-quality junk.

80 lbf?? Ahah, whats the point, like "look it can survive a very light weight so it has chances of surviving the grip of a toddler". This is horrible, 5 pencils?? Even young teens can deliver more force.

Edit, i found only 3 pencils here, ridiculously easy to break all at once, 5 wouldnt be a challenge, this didnt even give me any temporary redish pressmarks in the palms. Lol at this test.

The other test showed exactly how far they could go before damage.... This test stops at 81.... And ass they aren't doing the same test with other devices with the same pressure this test is as bias as it comes

Trooper, 06 Apr 2015Users and customers push marketing trends, not manufactures... moreI hope you're right, but my rational side tells me otherwise
They were given a simple 'get out of jail' card - make phones more pretty and less practical & we won't complain so much.
Now we're starting to witness the outcome of such narrow mindedness.
It saves them money on parts and R&D development and ensures we are forced to replace our devices more regularly.
Bottom line - as always - money / profit becomes the driving force.

Who will acknowledge this issue first and take back the practical smart phone reign?
                          Maybe LG?
Maybe one of the Chinese manufacturers?
                          Maybe Nokia?!!

Comon people - it's there for the taking! ;)

                            Laughter.

Blame the majority of the general public for wanting thinner/lighter phones, which obviously compromise battery life and other niceties (because of space restrictions) that us slightly technical users require.

Hopefully this silly trend will fade and common sense will win through, and we can start seeing decent size phones with proper battery life and all the other things we use to take for granted (SD card slots, removable batteries etc) returned in the not so distant future.
