I'm into my second week with the storm 2, I have problems connecting to advanced wireless configurations, the Sure-press screen does not work efficiently. At times the bottom right buttons are incapable of being pressed or just don't work. My advice is, you're better off with a blackberry with physical buttons, the touch screen is cool but impractical in the business world.

I've had the blackberry for a week now, my other phone is a Windows 6 phone and my advice is...get a Blackberry purely for connectivity (internet and email) on the blackberry service. It will not work effectively otherwise (e.g on a service provider that doesnt support the Blackberry service.

I have had the storm2 for 1 week. Great gizzmos but the phone is crap. Reception poor, droping calls left, right and centre. bad for business! The 3 I ordered going back.

I don't think its an Iphone killer but seems quite a star in its own right. And I agree BB's are preferred corporate phones around the world.

Storm 2 is a great phone and corporate users will love it. But yes its not a cheeky multimedia gadget so phone users won't be impressed. And they can keep yapping but corporate users will love the 2nd Perfect storm.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2009I did and it didn't. I got a Storm and it was awful and ca... moreblackberries can do things that otherphones cant. e.g. professional trading/bloomberg software is the main thing that keeps me. for me blackberries are the simplest to use with a good biz feel. iphone has been best previous to this for surfing the internet and games, but adults dont have time for that! ;) nokia lost it when they started deviating from epoc/symbin system. over complicated! palm and psion used to make the best pda's so im looking forward to the pre.

koko, 15 Oct 2009how do you lioke this device?it's like a phone but 10 years... moreI do not have the Storm, but a Curve. I know there are a lot of people that would actually prefer another phone over a BlackBerry, but the only reason for this mentality is because they have never used a BlackBerry. If you do not like BlackBerry use it once and it will forever change your mind.

I think BB learnt their lesson after setting up all the hype over the launch of the Storm, almost all of them have problems we send them off from our store, BB just keeps replacing them.
A lot of the problems people have is due to them not knowing how to exit programs properly, I've seen them with 20 or 30 things running in the background and the customer wondering why it takes so long to do anything, a lot of them don't even know enough to hold down the menu key to bring up the task manager, or painfully scroll to the bottom of the menu list to find "close", this is why multitasking on a phone is stupid.
Other issues are atrocious reception and poor call quality.
Let's hope the Storm 2 addresses some of these issues, there's nothing worse than dealing with a lot of irate customers.

The Storm 1 was, not to put too finer point on it, garbage. This one is already having problems with the screen if you read widely. The technology the handset employes is already well out of date. The camera poor, the OS very slow, the applications severely limited. Rim have taken little or no notice of what customers have said or want. DO think long and hard and make careful comparsion before you part with your cash and give a contractual commitment to this handset. Ask yourself can it do anything which others cannot also do and a darn site better and cheaper.
