Anonymous, 12 Apr 2015Inb4 apple buys itThis could be apple again. It would be thier style to go in with huge cash to tempt a sale but, a leading story like this makes it look like its an open market affair, anyway we'll see, but if they sell it my private info details go with it, it will be coming off my phone, this would sell just for the millions of peoples data records from microsoft/nokia people, to add them to apple or/and android data to help complete the set of global population spying , which you couldn't have got commercially without buying microsoft (unless of course you are u s a government who already has all three in thier hand.)

If they sell the best thing Here maps then is nothing left to do. They want money and then stop. Here maps is the best and is the hope for Nokia and if they will sell it then will be no hope fore Nokia.

You must admire Samsung and Apple if you are a true Nokia fan.
Both of them worked hard to be on top.

So they are thinking about selling Here parts of the group, just right after they managed to make an agreement with Jaguar and Land Rover (now brands of Tata automotive group) for providing GPS solution? If they will really do that, even a amoeba would run Nokia's group business better than them from the day they dropped smartphone handset business!

            please don't do That.

I think American style of management destroy this company (fast cash, short-term perspective). And ofc Elop wanted to steal mobile division for MS. When he start share price was ~ 15$ when he sold mobile division it was ~ 2-3$. When he start they were a leading manufacturer on market, after his decisions they fell out of the top, didnt fit even in the first 5, 8 or even 10 producers phones xD Even casual man on the street would have been better then him. If they start sell phones with Android in 2010, 2011, 2012 they have great chance to be first or second producer in Android what will be enough and much better then be first on WP. And they can add to Android phones with MeeGo.

This seems to be a really good example of, The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

                    That is bad news really.

It's sad to see Nokia die a slow painful death.

Their marriage to Microsoft was as destructive as the marriage of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston. Now Whitney's dead and is Nokia

I hope they will use this as a marketing strategy to show the world the potential Nokia still has. if they dont sell it, this could be taken as a mature post-Microsoft Nokia that had managed to maintain its reputation and will start to grow again as the strong company it was a few years ago.

Nokia better close their company, every department SALES!

I don't see Nokia coming back to profit anytime soon. With continued sales of what was an excellent business until now , I don't think they will come back to manufacturing. We might as well wipe of their existence from the public mind.

Hmmm.. bit of a shame. HERE maps is fantastic.

Oh well, guess I can just keep using the technology from whoever buys it, hopefully.

they are doing a really huge mistake by doing this
instead they must invest way more on here maps cuz it is the only good true maps ever existed
If it get sold hope they will treat it just like nokia and not to make it a paid service
