They see a "Samsung" logo and that's enough for them to buy it.
If they price the global Tizen phone properly, they'll gain a respectable amount of sales.

This is the best phone in the market by price, quality and features. Good enough hardware and light and simple software like ios. Android is heavy software like truck with wider funtionality but ios and tizen are lighter , limited but faster software like car. Cheap android phone can't run run smoothly because of heavy android software but tizen handle it appropriately.

I was impressed with the battery life of the Z1. 1500 mAH battery and it outclasses many phones with much higher battery capacity. The Galaxy Mega 2 uses a 2,800 mAH battery with much more energy-efficient components and the Z1 outclasses it.
The only con about Tizen is the rather lackluster appstore selection. Hopefully Tizen will become more popular and get app support.

Also, Tizen is significantly more optimized than Android.
Even with 768 mb RAM and weak dual-core processor, the Z1 outperforms many high-end Android phones in fluidity.
The Z1 only has a 1500 mAH battery but it has longer battery life than many Android phones with 2,500+ mAH battery.
I, too, thought Tizen was a lost cause until I got my hands on the Z1.
There's a reason why Samsung wants Tizen to succeed.

2gb of ram, blah, same as the S3 (lte). This proves that tizen is a useles project and that samsung is wasting money and selling more and more overpriced phones.

Samsung literally has no interest in developing this thing. Android sets are giving them enough money, that's why they are not bothering! When a more polished OS will come out and Android will be history then Samsung will regret what they are doing now with Tizen. This could have had a bright future.

Samsung doesn't want to invest in an expensive Tizen phone just yet. They need good word-of-mouth about the OS before making a high-end phone.
Putting out a Tizen phone with S3-like specs should keep costs low. It'll outperform many high-end Android phones in performance and battery life.

Considering how light-weight and incredibly optimized the Tizen OS is, I'm interested in seeing how the battery life fares on a 2600 mAH model.
The Z1 only has a 1500 mAH battery capacity and its battery life tops Android phones with 2500+ mAH battery capacities.
