Also puzzled by similarity to Lumia 640
Differences, no clearblack Tech, slighly lower chipset processor and graphics
Slightly bigger in size, but with 5MP front camera.
Released one month after each other?

I don't get your hate.. phone has pretty good specs for its price.. and snapdragon 200 is more then enough for wp device of that price range. I want to see new lumia flagship too but guess they are waiting for win 10 to be finished.

At Windows Phone 8.1 doesn't choke under heavy multitasking. At an agreeable price range, too.
You rich kids who comment on GSMArena are hard to please.

if this is "lower mid range", what is Low range!?
why dodn't you guys call it real name? i know specs...are going higher...but phone on this chipset is LOW end phone, nothing more than that.
i really like how this phone looks, but i don't get why did they make another 5' phone, when they allready have L640?
4,5-4,6 would be just fine...and this weak battery could make more then just one day.
anyway....i hope it will be nice as 520 were.

I think they are releasing this because of the 535s Touch Issue, 720p and 8MP means its superior to 535

praveen, 15 Apr 2015snapdragon 200?... and the price must be 5000 Did you see the other specs? By your logic, Moto E with far inferior specs should be 2k. But it retails for 7k.

If they want Windows phone to be associated with nothing but "cheap as chips" phones they are doing an excellent job. All cheap and mid-range at best. Are they serious about wanting to take on the big players?! I seriously wonder. Oh wait a minute. They don't need decent hardware was the logic in years gone by; when they wre dumping single core phones, when everyone was doing at least dual cores for the most part. That must be why they sell so well!

release a flagship?? Lumia 930/Icon is 1+ years old, 1020 is 2+ years old and 1520 is almost 2 years old. Lol .. How long do we have to wait until windows 10 is ready?? By that time, I'm sure they will mess up Lumia 940 by using Snapdragon 810/805 when other OEMs are using Snapdragon 820/815 in their flagships.

Microsoft is flooding the market with quality low end phones and all upgradable to Windows 10. Great!
