Xiaomi slashes Mi 4 16GB, 64GB model prices in India

The Mi 4 16GB is now priced at INR17,999 ($289) and Mi 4 64GB model is priced at INR21,999 ($353).

              Still not going to do well. Indians want value for money phones from Xiaomi.

              For this price, MI4 is an expensive '3G only' phone. Brand value of OnePlus is better than Xiaomi and OPO beats MI4 in value for money.

              Suggestions for Xiaomi:
              1. Don't expect your phones above Rs.15k to do well in India. Use them only to create brand value.
              2. If you are launching MI4i (as rumoured with Snapdragon615), You'll have to compete with Yureka. Keep your prices lower than 10k.

                    It's no suprise. Mi4's price dropped in China a week ago.

                    That's an 9 months old phone. Price should be less than that even.
