LG G4 allegedly photographed, Snapdragon 808 inside

17 April, 2015
The photo is tightly cropped and dark, it's hard to tell if it's actually the LG G4 or not.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2015anyone else notice on "cpu 0" to "cpu 3"... moreThat could be due to a slow shutter speed of the camera that was used to take the photo. The values in CPU-Z a 'live', they change constantly according to the current clock, so the values were busy changing while the photo was being taken (i.e. while the shutter was open), hence the ghost look.

Well guys what I think there is no such 808 ,BECAUSE we NEVER heard it B4 and never mentioned b4 releasing 810 fail..
What in reality 808 is, is 810 fail underclocked to slowe freq. NOT to overheat..
And then it is very easy rename chip to 808 whit right software..
Even LG is NOT stupid like samsung they didn't use 810 ..

Down to two coars for low power like Intel. Meh, no excuse for the interface to lag on last gen so if they do it right it should be fine. If they do it right.

Looks like there will be two G4 models.
1)A Phablet with SD810 and stylus
          2)A smartphone with SD808

Knowing the fact that SD 810 overheats its probably a better idea to go for SD 808.And I don't understand this spec race at all.My HTC One with SD 801 performs on par with the new One M9 if not better.Whats the use of adding more power hungry cores then?.Instead they should improve the battery,UI and the camera. No matter how beefier the specs becomes smartphones can't and won't surpass consoles and neither can it surpass personal computers. These OEMs are just fuelling people's greed more and more.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2015808 still probably has similar issues. Just less. But also ... moreWith much less thermal throttling, the CPU performance might actually be quite close to SD 810 for most real life scenarios. Furthermore, there are not many apps which would require firing up all the A57 cores in real life. For example games rarely have more than two parallel threads which require a high performance CPU. The only real shortcoming of the SD 808 is the GPU.

That said, it probably won't be much faster than SD 805, either. The GPU is slower, so gaming performance might not be any faster in practice.

Will not buy. SD808 is a joke compared to SD810. SD808 is best suited for low mid-range phones competing with MediaTek MT6752/6753/6795 etc, not flagships. It was bad enough that the G4 couldn't ship with the SD820, and now this horrific downgrade.

I think it's a marketing strategy - later they might release a higher G4 model with the SD810?

                                What a bummer.

Anyways, I'm not sure how this SoC performs on the QHD res. The GPU in 808 is weaker than the GPU in 805. :\

This SoC would kick ass if only it had an Adreno 430. The way it is, it will stutter like hell with the QHD resolution.
